 - messages blocked I cannot send messages from Entourage, but it is not a problem of smtp, etc. I installed it one week ago and have been receiving and sending from my yahoo account without any problem. Suddenly yesterday, I tried to send one message and it get stucked in the outbox. I tried to delete it but told me that it was being sent. I finally get to delete it but it seems that it has get blocked because I have tried several times, and every time I try to send one, down the window, I have a number which increases with every message tried. Down the window, I have two messages: on the left: yahoo: loging on to smtp.correo.yahoo.es on the right: the number of messages already blocked (and deleted by me), and the message "there are not pending schedules", partially hide by the bar which gets filled when sending or receiving, which keeps empty... It seems like if i had to empty the outbox but it is already empty, because I deleted all.  - Greyed out in-box I carried out the Mac OSX software upgrade last week and have since encountered a problem with my in-box. I keep getting a greyed out block covering the details of about half the messages. I can click on it to reveal details of one email, but as soon as I try and reveal another, I get an error mesage (4362) which won't go away and I have to force quit the program. Any ideas?  - Text attachment bug? I'm using 10.1.4 and really struggling with a text file line endings problem. I understand that Mac and PC and have different line endings - and I can open a text file attachment in another app and re-save to remove the problem. My problem is I don't want to open these files and 'work around' the problem - these files are sent every day and I have various people I want to upload them to a web server as part of a site data update - so I don't want to hand edit each one each time - the idea is they are saved to disk and uploaded to a fixed directory (and thats all that should happen).  - auto open separate new mail windows? well I still can't get entourage 2004 to work, so in the meantime I am tinkering with the current X system... ...I have all my emails in separate mailboxes, one for each person/jobs etc. all my mail is auto moved to its appropriate folder on receipt I like the 'bolding' of headers to indicate new mail in a folder, and the right-click capacity of the mail icon to show folders with new mail but, when a new mail comes in, I would like its folder to open and come to the front, separately in each instance, just like they did in eudora...  - Since upgrading the OS, Entourage has problems I upgraded my OS from 10.2.8 to 10.3.4 and now have problems with Entourage (Office.X "10.1.5"). It does not crash, but might as well. I will change from one mail folder to another (which happens to be a whole other account) and then the program will stop working (this is not account specific, it happens between any account combination). A partial word will display in the bottom of the window (something like a status bar; it displays messages as mail is being checked) and then I am unable to click anything. When I move my mouse over any of the options in the top left (address book, calender, etc) they take on a "checkerboard" pattern and the picture is no longer visable. I have to "Force Quit" the application because it will not accept a "Quit" from the "File" menu. I am able to re-start the program after the failure without a system restart being required.  - 2004 schedule message Since installing '2004', I've sometimes (usually after waking) been getting a message "Schedule will run Send & Receive all in less than a minute" , when I click on 'Send & Receive'.  - Message shows in Outlook Client but not in Entourage 2004 We have multiple people in our office using the new entourage 2004 client. At the same time we commonly have a terminal services windows opened to our terminal server, with Outlook running. Both Entourage and Outlook are talking to an Exchange 2000 server. All of the users in our office noticed the mail count and unread counts in the two apps we always different. After further investigation, there were simply some messages that would not appear in Entourage. These messages could be new messages, old messages, etc. We have even moved the messages on Outlook from the Inbox to another folder to see if it would then it would show up. Still nothing. Now the only way to get these random messages into Entourage is to actually setup an IMAP connection the Exchange server, and then move them into the Inbox of the Entourage Exchange configuration.  - Office 2004: How flag outgoing message? In Office X's Entourage 10.1.4, the "flag" icon appeared in the toolbar and allowed one to add a flag to an outgoing message. In Office 2004's Entourage 11.0.0, the flag is grayed out when sending messages. I'm using OS 10.3.4. 1. Is there a way to flag outgoing messages? 2.  - An unknown error (4362) occurred Entourage, error when sending mail (Dual 1.25 GHz Power PC G4 Mac running Mac OS 10.2.8 Entourage:mac v.X 10.1.4 Service Release 1) Mail could not be sent using the account "XXX @ XXX." An unknown error (4362) occurred web search says that: CAUSE This problem may occur if an Entourage X database or a user identity is damaged. RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, rebuild the Entourage X database files. I tried this, it didn't make a difference in my case. The problem seem to appear when an email has been saved to the "Drafts" folder and then attempted to send after that.  - Entourage 2004 Stalls Hi, I have found that my Entourage 2004 Stalls when I receive emails that have moving marquees in them. I have to force quit to fix the issue. These generally come from outlook PC clients and I believe the marquee is a MS technology. Anyone else experienced thios problem.  - Entourage conflicts with Adobe CS keyboard functions ?! I have two Macs (a G4 and a G5) running Panther with the same set of problems: When Entourage is running, some of the keyboard modifiers don't work properly in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. It is driving us crazy. If we quit Entourage, everything works fine again. I've spent several hours searching MS and the web for any mention of this problem with no success.  - Database too large to copy to disk to move to new computer Hi! I'm moving from an iMac with 10.1.5 to a new Powerbook with 10.3. I use Entourage 10.1.4. I tried to copy the Office X Identities folder to a disk to copy it to my new computer but the database is too big. The disk will take 660 MB but my database is 683 MB.  - Entourage 2004 and Hotmail Error -18588 I can't get Entourage 2004 to download my Hotmail. I've deleted and reentered the Hotmail account info twice now. When I hit "Sent and Receive," Entourage 2004 retrieves the Hotmail = folders,=20 and appears to be downloading the messages in my Hotmail Inbox, but at=20 the end of the "receive" up pops the Error Log with an "Unknown Error=20 -18588" for each of the messages that was "received" and my Hotmail = Inbox=20 is empty. (POP email is sending and receiving just fine, BTW.) I upgraded to the 10mb pay version of Hotmail after reading that Hotmail = would no longer download the free version to Outlook (and therefore,=20 presumably to Entourage) but that hasn't made a difference.  - Project Center Crashes Under Load Hello Everybody, We've recently been conducting a test deployment of Office 2004 in a Mac only workgroup at my place of employment. We had really hoped that Entourage 2004 would have full Exchange Server support for shared calendars, contacts, etc (please take note Mac BU). After recovering from the shock and disappointment we began playing with the Project Center. Project center worked well initially using a shared project on an iDisk (.Mac) but everything fell apart when we loaded it up. We put about 4000 contacts in the project and an average workgroup calendar. Now the computers won't sync. If you change a contact in one the change won't propagate to the other (only 2 computers are using this project right now - both are reasonably fast dual G4s). Entourage just says its syncing the project forever. We've let it run for hours, entourage becomes unresponsive and needs to be force-quit. Any ideas here?  - Entourage New Mail (or other item) Window Location (Position) In Entourage 2004, when I create new mail message (or new calendar event or new task or new newsgroup post) the window for the new item is always positioned in the upper left corner of the display. I then have to drag it to a new, more easily managed location. It seems that most of the other Mac apps that I work with remember the last position of a window and return to that spot. I am new to Mac and to Entourage (and new to this forum.) Maybe I am missing something? I searched on Google and found a couple of folks asking the same question but no real replies. Even if Entourage does not remember the window position, is there someway to set it so that it opens some place other than the upper left corner, in other words, in the middle of the screen?  - Can't send mail I have just upgraded to Office 2004 from Office V.X and now I'm unable to send mail. There is no problem, however, with receiving mail. I have an iMac G4, running OS X, Version 10.3.4, and am using DSL service through AT&T. Entourage Version 11.0.0 is configured exactly as the older version of Entourage had been, overriding the default SMTP port to 465. Reverting to the default port fails to eliminate the problem. It is obvious from reading the AT&T Mac newsgroups that many others are experiencing this same problem. I'm wondering if others on this newsgroup have encountered the same problem and, if so, were able to correct it. Is this an issue that Microsoft is working on?  - Category that automatically flags incoming mail as junk I have this odd thing that's bugged me for a long time. I'm using Entourage 2001 on OS 9.2.2. One of the categories I have defined in my address book is "Dogs." (I have a dog, do paintings of dogs, and have a lot of dog-related friends.) I do not have Junk mail filtering on at all. Whenever I get a message from one of my friends that is part of the Dogs category, Entourage displays a note that "This message appears to be junk mail." If I click on the "This is not junk mail" link next to it, it removes the Dog categorization from that message. Why on earth would Entourage be sensitive to any category label that I've defined for people that it recognizes are in my address book. Dogs is the only category where this happens.  - Recovering large mail databases My MD has a rather large Outlook Database (65mb) which we are having trouble recovering. Tried the normal procedure within Outlook and Entourage.  - Everything is GONE! Last night I quit Entourage, & shut down properly. All files in = Entourage=20 were intact at that point. Today I opened the program and it's as if I = had=20 just installed it. All info was reset!!! Everything is gone! There was = an email=20 message that read...Welcome to Entourage!!!  - Entourage 2004 I have the same problem as pete mac! I can't RECEIVE my mails with=20 Entourage 2004, although I CAN receive them with Entourage X. I don't know what I am doing wrong... I wish to use Entourage 2004 on an PowerBook using OS 10.3.4 I have already tried the following: - checked all account settings. they are correct. - checked all network system prefs settings and proxies. they are = correct. - created new identity in E.2004 with new account. still won't work. - numerous restarts during these processes - tried to have Firewall ON or OFF and check -nothing!  - Simple Search Problems Using "from" "contains", "subject" "contains" etc. drop down menus. When I complete a simple search on either inbox or sent mail for an = email=20 addresss, name (or part of a name) or word from message subject, no=20 results are found even though I know emails are there.  - how many is too many recipients. . ? Hello, I send out group emails to announce particular shows. I am only sending out to about 20-30 people, and always get too many recipients. Is this regulated by the email program, or by entourage. If by entourage, how can I change that?  - Cannot use Entourage 2004 sync tool after installing Agendus for Palm. I recently downloaded a trial version of Agendus 8 for my Palm Tungsten T1. After installing I found the Entourage 2004 sync tool no longer would work. The sync log shows that it fails to recognise that it is installed and no attempt to reinstall or tweek with the settings help. In dispair, I blanked the Tungsten and user and tried to sync again. It worked. Installed Agendus. It doesn't work. Have done this many many times and Agendus seems certainly the problem here but Iambic say it's not their problem as Agendus doesn't interfer with the syncing process and simply displays data that has been transfered by whatever. Can anyone help. I like the look of Agendus, but couldn't commit myself to it if I cannot sync the data from Entourage 2004 onto the Palm and back again while it's installed.  - Strange synchronization message I am getting a 'synchronizing offline actions' message every time I click on any email. The box sets in the middle of my email screen until it has finished whatever it is syncing to. This happens whether the email has been read or not. I am using a .Mac email account.  - Entourage identities and mail folders - new Mac convert - Help! I am a new Mac/Entourage, but experienced PC Outlook user, having recently migrated to a mac for graphic processsing capabilities from the world of PC, I need to find a solution to my email problem. The identities solution in Entourage seems to differ radically from that of the PC based MS Outlook. I need to configure Entourage on my G4 Powerbook so that when opening either of the two idenities the same email information, (received, sent etc.), and address book is displayed. As happened when I used my old Sony Vaio Notebook running XP Pro and Outlook 2003. The reason for selecting two identities as a setup is explained below - is this the correct solution? I was used to opening my PC Outlook in two different identities running two sets of accounts; Home and Office, so that I could from home pick up personal email direct from my ISP, and work email via a VPN to the office, or whilst at the office, my work email from a network PC that acts as a mail server, (running a third party mail server program), and personal email from the ISP. It was configured like this with different accounts with different send and receive parameters so that I got around the problem of 'receive failures' popping up on screen. For example whilst at the office if the VPN account was used it could not go out through the hub and back in again to the mail server PC, or at home if the office email server network address was used it would not find it as it would need to go through the VPN first. With the PC all email appeared to end up in the same pst file and thus on was displayed no matter which identity I opened Outlook under. Am I barking up the wrong tree, or do I need to employ a dedicated server at the office running Microsoft Exchange and get rid of Pop accounts and thus pick up email directly from this server from all locations. since we are quite a small company it seems to be a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut solution in terms of cost, however there will no doubt be other benifits.  - Projects come, projects go I'm a general contractor, and I live and die by projects. The new Project Center in Entourage is demonstrating the potential to change my life for the better, so I'm very interested in making it do everything for me that it is capable of. I had, in fact, already established something very similar by hand, (all documents, spreadsheets, contracts in Word, sales presentations in one folder, email routed to separate folders by rules, tasks sorted by project, etc.) which is quite time consuming to maintain. So far, this is the first issue I may have a problem with: projects end. All projects end, but customers continue to exist. Many of my customers are repeat customers, and when they send me email past the end of a project, I want the email to go somewhere besides the project in the project center. That is, I want the project to continue to exist as an archive of what was said and done, including a record of the contacts, but I want the new business to go to a new project. Furthermore, one customer will (hopefully) be associated with several different projects, and I want email from that customer to go to the correct project, (the current project) and not get sprayed across all past projects. However, I would also like to associate that customer with past projects, so I can keep a list of who was associated with which project. When opening up the application Entourage, a dialog box pops up with the warning: "Microsoft Entoruage got an error: Can't get headers of incoming message id 37384." Just upgraded from Entourage X to 2004.

I have two e-mail accounts on an exchange server one is fine the other=20
shows up but with only the junk mail folder.

So I have no inbox, sent mail, drafts etc - therefore can send mail from =
this=20
account ok but can't receive because the inbox is missing!

Have reinstalled without success and recreated both accounts with the =
same=20
result.

This is driving me nuts! Any help greatly appreciated.

Ask your Exchange admin to verify that the permissions on those folders on
your account are properly set on the server. It sounds like The server
thinks you don't have permission to view them.
