Has anyone tried this combination - I can't seem to get it to work.
Does this combination actually work?

Yep. It works providing the server offers all you need:
- IMAP for e-mails
- WebDAV for calendar and address book synching (with no weird
authentication)
- LDAP for Global Directory queries.

Thanks Corentin

My exchange server provider has not enabled IMAP - they are telling me
that the protocol is very unsecure and will not open the service - for
fear of opening up holes in the exchange system.

Don't know how unsecure IMAP really is!?!

In that case, you'd need to upgrade to Office 2004, since that version of
Entourage does not use IMAP but instead WebDAV to retrieve mail.

Or, you can use Outlook Web Access on the internet if that's enabled. A
last option is to use Outlook 2001 in Classic to access the Exchange Server.

I guess that if you use IMAP over SSL, it's just as secure as Exchange
(MAPI/WebDAV) over SSL....

That's not really a very good arguement to me.
