This morning I opened up an email I sent last Wednesday, trying to confirm
that I do in fact have a real job and these past four days are but a
temporary glitch in the ennui continuum. Lost in the radiance of my own
words, I attempted to correct a grammatical error or change a phrasing,
forgetting that the document was not a work in process. Poof.... It went
away...gone.... No evidence, no remnant...no nothing. Checked deleted
files... I know this has to be somewhere and I've already sent a memo to
the addressee asking that they return it...but where is it?

I just found "missing" e-mail. It was where it should have been, in the
"deleted" folder. I'm positive it wasn't there originally, but my certainty
is tempered with self knowledge; but its Monday after an long weekend and
who needs existential comments from the sales department?
