I just installed the service pack for office 2004, and I still continue to
get bombarded by duplicate emails on imap servers. The emails are not really
duplicated; peering the server with another program such as Apple's Mail
shows only original message on the server. But Entourage consistently
re-downloads the same message, and displays them in it's inbox with
identical header and time stamp. The most frustrating aspect is that you
cannot delete the duplicates. Deleting within Entourage moves the "real"
message to the assigned trash directory on the server, but the duplicates
remain; no amount of pushing the delete button has any effect on these
stubborn bastards. Microsoft does not reply to my requests for help. With
spam continuing to worsen, I am almost at the point of throwing out
Entourage as my email program. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

You need to Repair Message List Cmd-Alt-L also on the contextual menu.
Complete pain I agree!
