Entourage allows you to leave mail on the server. If you rebuild your
database this will cause Entourage to download again. There is no setting
that would be causing duplicates. Usually, it's server error or some setting
you have on your account. Log into your account via your web browser and
check your settings.
A quick test to eliminate database corruption:
1. Create a new Identity in Entourage (under Entourage in the Menu bar -->
Switch Identity --> click on New)
2. Set up your account and select "leave on server" so it's still available
for your regular account. Under Options tab.
3. Test
If the problem goes away, then it's' your database.
If the problem still exists, then it's not Entourage.
