Greetings. We are transitioning from CorporateTime to Exchange for
calendaring. How can I give my secretary access to my calendar? I can¹t find
anything under preferences or tools.

Thanks.

I moved to Entourage 2004, and my help search for ³delegate² got a hit? but
not an encouraging one. The topic that seems to match is: Set up delegate
access in Outlook. Of course, I don¹t use Outlook. The first step is: 1. In
Outlook, right-click the top level of the Exchange mailbox in the Folder
list, and then click Properties.

I did find that the delegate tab in the properties pane for the Exchange
account, but so far as I can see, that tab has to do with managing
situations in which I have been given delegate access to another user¹s
account.

I¹m beginning to get a sinking feeling that I have to use Outlook under
Windows to grant my secretary access. Sat it ain¹t so!

You have to have access to a Windows PC running Outlook once in order to do
the initial configuration. Once that¹s set up, you can use your Mac from
then on without touching a PC.

Hello, Yes, you can activate the delegate's feature, but NOT in =
Entourage,=20
you need to have Outlook 2001 (which runs in classic mode, which is =
fine),=20
and from within Outlook 2001 (or, you could use Outlook for windows), =
you=20
can then go to preferences and select the delegate, and grant them =
access.=20
Once it's setup this way, the user in Entorage can then setup who they =
are=20
the delegate for, and access that users' info.

Since it's generally only done once, initially, it shouldn't be a big =
deal, and=20
you should be able to download the Outlook 2001 client software from=20
Microsoft's web site.
