    - Exchange Delegate Cannot Accept Meetings In our company, we have an administrative assistant that manages calendars for 5 people on her iMac G4(10.4.x and Entourage 11.3.0). Of those 5 people she manages calendars for, she can accept on behalf of two of them and cannot accept for the other three. The message she gets (in the yellow bar) when she cannot reply on behalf is: "The manage events on behalf of <executive's name>, you must configure your delegation settings." And the Accept/Decline/Accept Tentatively buttons are greyed out. See this screenshot: http://www.jeffpollard.net/test/entourage_problem.png I've checked and re-checked that this person's Entourage has delegate permissions set correctly in Accounts. I've also had our network engineers remove this person's delegate permissions and re-add them, all with no luck.     - Upgrade of Office 2004 - my mail is gone :( I am running OS X 10.4.8 w/Office 2004 installed. While working today I was prompted to install the latest update to Office 2004. I did so and when I was done and I reopened Entourage I had an empty mailbox with a prompt to import my mail. As I have a couple of gig worth of mail, contacts, etc... I was stunned. Entrourage is now at 11.2.5 In poking around I have isolated my Entourage database (based on the name of database, the file assocation and the 2GB size) However, whenever I try and open it, it "opens" but I do not see my information - only the stinking "Welcome to Entrourage" default message.     - saving email attachments with Entourage I am using Entourage 11.2.5 and it appears I can only save attachments to a limited selection of folders. I click the "Save" button in the attachment window and the "Where" popup has some random (?) selection of folders but no provision for me to navigate to a folder of my choice. I can't imagine a software package that does not allow the user to choose the location to save a file.     - it just wont download messages! i have been using outlook on my pc for ages and downloading all my emails that way and it has always worked well. I have swapped to macs because my pc was rubbish and continued using entourage to get my emails but i always get the server timed out or is too busy message. it says: An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded, or there may be too much net traffic. error -3259 can anyone help me please!!!     - Self correcting unwanted. iBook, .Mac 2004, OS 10.4.8 Every-time I type two or more letters [such as AAA it self corrects to Aaa] capitalized, both Entourage and Word self corrects.     - "message to verify they are valid." Huh? Hi, I am getting a strange error message when trying to send to ONE specific recipient who has a domain ending with ".biz". The error simply says "message to verify they are valid.". Nothing more and nothing less, which doesn't make any sense to me. It also says: "Mail could not be sent. Account name: "My Account Name"" However, the error number is -17099 so I checked the MVPS for Entourage at http://www.entourage.mvps.org/error/page.html#error-17099 . Sadly there's only explanations for Entourage 2001 and X. Of course, I have 2004, version 11.2.5. No other mail is stopped like this.     - Entourage Freeze up? I tried to send an email to a friend with a 20mb attachment.. ever since I attached the file, my Entourage sits there frozen with the little colored pinwheel rotating. even overnight. I rebooted, same thing, I restart Entourage and when it finally loads, same thing, I am unable to select any other folder (like the outbox, so I can delete the possibly offending email) New Mail is received, but I cannot access it because of the freeze...     - Meeting requests Hello, Having an issue with meeting requests and not seeing the accept/deny buttons in the invite. Setup is Exchange server 2003 SP2 with Entourage 2004 with latest updates. The meeting requests are being generated from a calendar that out in Public folders. The invite recipients don't have the option to accept or deny the meeting. If the meeting organizer send from their personal calendar then the buttons are present.     - Using a bogus "sent from" email address I just bought Entourage 2004 and have not yet cracked the box. Before I do, a quick question: I have emails forwarded from a couple of different accounts to my Verizon address and I'd like all of my replies to look as if they are coming from one single email address. So can I have can I have all of my replies to look as if they are coming from one single email address that I specify? If so, how do I do it?     - Entourage won't see the dictionary I have four new Mac Pros that I have installed Office 2004 on. In Entourage it would not spell check. If I clicked on the check spelling as you type box it wouldn't stay checked. I finally noticed that it didn't see the dictionary. But it also won't let me choose a dictionary.     - Entourage X for Mac and IE I have an Intel MacBook Pro. After the last round of updates, IE isn't loading properly. This isn't important to me as a browser issue, as I use Safari. BUT - I use Entourage, and I'd like to send out a mass e-mail that contains a link to my new website. Unlike in Word, where the program automatically turns URLs into links, the standard Entourage "Insert Hyperlnk" command asks you to insert from IE window, IE favorites, or IE history... and unfortunately, I hadn't visited the site via IE on this computer, and I don't know if it would link in anyway, since E isn't loading anymore.     - Entourage 2004 and Keyboard Viewer Living in Canada as I do, I have frequent need to switch to the Canadian French input method. I usually open the Keyboard Viewer to help me remember where all the accents are. This works great in every application except Microsoft Office, most importantly in Entourage where I have the most need. Everytime I switch to Entourage, the Keyboard Viewer reverts to US English.     - Cannot delete message from inbox Hi, I've been having a problem with Entourage lately that I am hoping someone can help me identify. With some new messages, they will appear in my inbox twice. I can delete one, but cannot duplicate message from the inbox. Neither message shows up in my inbox in the webmail version of the email account (which is not a Gmail, etc. account) but it still shows up in my inbox via Entourage. I visited Mactopia and Entourage's help section, but I didn't find anything useful. This happened a couple of times yesterday, but it has happened 5 times today. A few of the messages are from email listserves, but a couple are from individuals. Does anyone know what the trouble is, and how I can correct it? BTW, I use OS X version 10.4.8.     - Security with Entourage (2004, Mac OS X) Is there any way to make Entourage secure? I want to prevent people from being able to access my email (both one's I have downloaded, and one's that are still on the server) and to prevent them from accessing my user identity in the Microsoft User Data folder. I'd like to password protect my account so that you would have to enter a password to get into the account, and to do the same to the contents of the identity folder. So far the only thing I've found is to set up Entourage to require a password to download new mail - this is only part of the solution - I need to protect what is already on my computer.     - Entourage and Kerio slow Hi, we have 2 users who report their Entourage being painfully slow whilst updating its folders with the server. The performance is so poor that it hesitates whilst they are writing emails mid-sentence. We are using Kerio email system (similar in principal to Exchange) and the client is Entourage 2004. We have tried recreating the account but this hasn't helped. We have also used the webmail version of Kerio and this is not slow, so all seems to point to Entourage. Any ideas?     - REINSTALLING PROBLEM Hello All, Im hoping someone can help me with this problem. Basically, I have an ongoing problem with one of the machines in my office. All the software was installed before I joined and now one of the Microsoft packages on a G5 has died (well its lost its security code/serial number details) and I need to reinstall it. But the genius who installed the software originally did not mark on the packaging which pack belongs to which machine.     - INbox 4000 Unread Since Rebuild Hi, After doing a typical rebuild of my 1.5 GB database (Office version 10.1.7; POP email) I hit Send & Receive and received ~ 4000 unread emails. Random checks revealed that they are duplicates of emails in folders. However, I haven't checked every one so I'm not comfortable deleting them all.     - Trouble importing Work and Home Emails into Entourage 2004 contacts I am trying to import my contacts into Entourage 2004 using a .csv text file. Everything works perfectly EXCEPT all the emails get imported as work emails (meaning with the Work label). I know that Entourage allows for up to (I think) six email addresses, but they can be either Work or Home or Other. How do I import them so that the Home or Other labels show up through the import process? Right now, when any number of email addresses are imported with a contact's info, they all are (Work). With over 1500 contacts, changing it manually is not something I want to do. Is there some way to label the field?     - problem: Fonts get smaller as thread gets longer I am running 10.4.8 OSX and 11.2.5 Entourage. When I get emails that have replies in them, I've notice the fonts get smaller as the thread gets longer. Even a non-Mac user is seeing these smaller fonts. They are so small, you can't read them. Example: (12pt font): thanks for emailing me. (received today) (10pt font): the meeting is tomorrow. (sent yesterday) (8pt font): when is the meeting. (sent 2 days ago) (6pt font): Are you going to the meeting? (sent 3 days ago) (4pt font): I'm fine.     - unable to auto-compress attachments with an Intel Mac Anyone having this issue? I installed Stuffit 11 for Mac (which is UB) but for some reason, Entourage can't stuff folders that are attached to a message. The error says 'Stuffit not installed' even though it is. There is that patch that Stuffit had for the G4 mac's to allow Entourage to auto-stuff, but it doesn't work with the Intel's- and The Stuffit people have no Intel release of that patch.     - deleting from server My POP mail is filtered through Spam Arrest, then goes to my in box in Entourage. The messages all have a tag on them giving me the choice to delete it from the server. I have no need to keep them on the server so have to delete each one individually. Is there some place to check so that messages are not kept on the server? I've looked through all of Spam Arrest and Entourage, but don't see such a choice. I know you can do this with IMAP, but I'm not using that email address at all, just the POP ones.     - Open other User's Folder - Folders other than Inbox, Contacts or Calendar Hi there, after much pulling of hair we have managed to configure Entourage clients to see other user's inboxes and calendars but I cannot configure access to other mailboxes. I do not wish people to see the contents of the Inbox. When I select Open Other User's Folder, how can I specify the mailbox I want? If I set the permissions on the other mailboxes but select Inbox from Open other User's Folder I get told that permissions are incorrect. If I set permissions on the Inbox I can open that but not the other mailbox I really need to see.     - Entourage 2004 Project Centre - Syncing email I'm playing with this to try and find a solution for our present cumbersome Public Folder email filing system. So far: 1. Tagging an email as belonging to a shared project doesn't actually move it anywhere. If you delete the email from your Exchange account, it vanishes from the project as well. This prompts a question as to why a shared Project folder has an Archive file in it if it doesn't get used? 2. If you set the Entourage email Watch Folder to a Public Folder, tagging an email as a Project one still doesn't move it to make it available. 3. Dragging an email to said Public Watch folder tags it as belonging to the Project and allows team members to download a copy of it. But this is exactly the way that Public folders already work, so it doesn't make things any easier. Is there a way to get Entourage to copy an email I tag in my Inbox to an accessible location that other members of the project can get access to? You can't even get Rules to be applied on a Schedule.     - imported emails vanished We imported all of our emails and address book from a MacMail account, and also added another email address to receive messages in the same Entourage account (two email addresses feeding into one Entourage account).
