When I delete the spam from my in-box, it won't move to trash-- it stays in
my inbox. For that matter, when I delete any email, it won't leave my
inbox. I've tried going into my advanced account setting and checked the
box: "move my deleted message to TRASH". Nothing happens. Help!

What type of account is this? POP, IMAP or Enchange?

I have an imap account.

Also, I get my email through my Entourage at work.
Yesterday, I just started having the same email address/account come through
my separate home computer (through Entourage). This is when the troubles
began: not only can I not delete any messages in my inbox but 4 duplicates
of every email that comes in.

What can I do?

Try control-clicking the folder and choosing "Repair Message List"
