Oops, and on top of that, how did this get sent before I had finished it!!!

So, the story is that every few days I have to rebuild the database as I
start getting the dreaded beach ball and Entourage stops responding. The
only option under the Dock pop-up is to Force Quit.

In response a suggestion that I try a new Identity, I created a new Identity
(very obedient, eh!). In the process of synchronising to the server,
Entourage stopped responding, just like the other identity. I had only
created the Exchange Account and one POP account. Rebooted, and still the
same problem (after rebuilding the database - WHY would I have to rebuild a
BRAND NEW DATABASE!).

My permissions are perfect, my drive is fine, I have deleted the RULES file
to eradicate it as a source of problems. The only rules operating are the
ones that are embedded on the server (i.e. Created on a Windows version of
Outlook, and they deliver mail to specific sub-folders of my Exchange
Inbox).

Yet I still get this damn hanging - too regularly to be acceptable. Can
someone tell me what else I might do to make this go away? Please?

Are there others out there having the same problem? It would be nice to not
be alone in this.

David - I get the exact same problem you described - it is very
annoying. I am having to "Work Offline" and that seems to stop the
crashing - but then I have to remember to check mail every few minutes
manually, and synchronise manually.

If anyone has a fix for this - that would be great. Hopefully
Microsoft will fix this problem!
