 - recurring tasks after task is completed Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) When I started to use Entourage, I thought that the recurrence pattern option "after the task is complete, create a new task every X d/w/m/y" was going to be great. My problem is that it creates a new task from the due date, not from the completion date if the completion date is later than the due date. If I wanted recurring tasks from the due date, I could simply set the task to recur every X d/w/m/y. Is there a way to have Entourage generate a new task calculated from the actual completion date? Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Messages from a different newsgroup on the same server have invaded a newsgroup I use and some of the postings that do belong there don't appear (I know they're there because they appear on the OWA version of the groups). OE and its successor have a procedure for resetting the groups that releases all the headers and all associated info, (Properties/local file/reset or somesuch) and then they can be reloaded. One person I'm emailing with keeps receiving my emails riddled with missing letters and spaces (ie, typos) even though I'm sending them with proper spelling and punctuation. When I look back at our trail of emails from the past few weeks the problem goes back weeks even though it just started in the last couple of days. Any idea what's going on and how to fix this.  - Complexe HTML in signature Let me introduce myself. I'm Romain, I'm french and I'm working for an IT company in France. Unfortunatelly, my company isn't "mac friendly" yet. Only 2 of us (we are almost 250) are using Mac. The problem is, we are all using a similar email signature for outgoing emails. This signature is generated with HTML code and guess what: Entourage doesn't want it. I googled for an answer but I didn't find anything. And it does, but backwards, so that the Zs are at the top and the As at the bottom. This is kinda infuriating, because it's the opposite of what every other program does and I end up halfway down my list before I realize I'm scrolling in the wrong direction. I have a folder in my exchange account that I'd like to keep synced with a folder in my imap account. Is there any way to do this? So, a couple of years ago, I copied a signature block into AutoCorrect, and had it correct "aaa" to the signature block. Easy. However, two events seem to have caused a problem. First, I recently upgraded to Office 2008. Second, I changed jobs. When I deleted the previous signature block, I found that I could no longer paste text into AutoCorrect; I can only type it in.  - Entourage/MobileMe sync problematic Office 2008 and Leopard latest versions. Mac Pro and Macbook Pro. Syncing Entourage through sync services, Address Book, iCal, Truth etc does work but I get frequent sync messages saying that, for eg in iCal, that 2000 items will be deleted, 2000 added. Or similar in Address book. After backing up the Entourage database, I have let these go through in the hope that it would do it once or twice and then settle but it happens about once a day on either Mac. I only use Entourage on the desktop (although it is installed on the laptop) so I have a theory that it might be trying to sync with an older version of the Entourage database on the laptop - when I go on the road I copy the database across and copy it back.) So I've thought about uninstalling all trace of entrouage and its database from the Laptop and seeing if this fixes the problem.) Before I do that, anybody had similar issues and tried this? In general what are people's experience of MobileMe syncing when you've got Entourage in the frame as well? I had previously used flagging on my address book list to select contacts to print. Apparently, the meaning of the flags changed and all my flagged items moved to the task list. I just loaded the 2008 product, and am sitting here in stunned disbelief that this feature has been removed from Entourage. I mean, seriously, WTF? This is beyond astonishing. This is a standard feature in MS Outlook, and I use it heavily on my Windows machine, and until a few minutes ago, always on my MacBook with Entourage. How could this happen? How could the programmers upgrading Entourage decide that this function was expendable, whereas its equivalent in Outlook continues to be a standard feature? Now every time we send a message, we must copy it to Sent Messages, then go into Sent Messages and move it from there to the appropriate folder. What a supreme waste of time. I want to cry. The reply stated that no upgrades were available for the student/home edition. I wanted a clarification as to whether this was the case for 2008 Office edition. I purchased the student edition of 2008. I had previously been under the impression that we would not be on an exchange server at work, and thus just got the student version. Can I upgrade the 2008 student version to the office one? I have only had it for a few months, and buying another 2008 version is a rather expensive option. However when emails are sent to my mobileme account they will sometimes end up in the inbox under "My Computer". Does anyone know how this happens. I do not have any rules setup which would move certain emails. The result of this is that I cannot get at all my emails from anywhere as they become local to the machine and are removed from the server.  - Public Folders and Sent Dates Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange I have Entourage set up to connect via my corporate Outlook Web Access. Works brilliantly and means I rarely need VPN. When I drag an email from my inbox and drop it into a public folder for a project weird things happen. If you look in the public folder from my Mac using Entourage everything is fine and the email has the correct dates. If you view the public folder from Outlook on a windows machine the email has the Sent and Received dates set to the date that the email was dragged and dropped into the public folder. Looking into the header it would seem that Outlook sees it as being sent by the OWA server to the Exchange Server and then received by the Exchange server. I would hate to have to go back to setting my Entourage to connect to the internal Exchang server and then using VPN when out of the office as the current setup is so easy. Fine except for one rule. The rule looks for e-mails from certain friends and moves them to the friends folder. However, since the upgrade to 2008 all messages that are not acted upon by other rules are dumped to the friends folder. However, I only want messages from certain people to be moved to the friends folder. I deleted the rule and reconstructed it, but the same problem persists. Suggestions? Thanks.  - Entourage Icon Disappeared From Dock? Hi, I have Office 2008. I turned on my computer this morning and the Entourage icon was missing from my Dock in OS X (10.5.4). I found this very strange. I had to go to Applications/Microsoft Office 2008 and re-drag it back to the dock. I have ruled out accidental removal from the dock, because I am 99.99% confident I didn't do that.  - Inbox issue Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Power PC Email Client: pop Hi At some stage during the various upgrades to Leopard and Office 2008, my Entourage inbox has stared showing the computer's owner name rather than the specific recipient name in the 'to' column. There are three users here, and we have to open the message to see who was meant to receive it. It's shown like this: ownername<sally@isp.com>. I can't seem to find the source of the problem. There's nothing in the account settings within Entourage, which suggests that it occurred when I installed Office 2008. I have no idea how to change any other setting in Office.  - Saving Email Drafts Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: imap I'm drafting an email... I save it, it closes and re-opens. Ok, fine. However, when I hit 'cmd+w' to close it (or click the 'x') it does the same thing. Is there a way I can get this to STOP. I liked the old Entourage where I could save it / close it and it saved and CLOSED. Same thing happens when I 'cmd+q' and there's a draft open. Therefore, my program doesn't quit. Entourage's HTML engine does not support the complex HTML needed to let
you create a table.

You can create a table in Excel, copy and paste that as a graphic into
Entourage but then it's uneditable.
