Hi All,

I'm new to the Group, so forgive me if this has already been addressed.

I'm on Microsoft Office 2004 using Entourage on a MAC G5 running Tiger OS.
I'm unable to create a GROUP in my address book/contacts. Has anyone else
run into this problem? Is there a fix to it that I just can't see?

Very frustrating when I need to send emails to a specific group of people
and I have to go in and manually select each one individually.

Thanks,
Heidi

You cannot create an Entourage Address Book Group on an Exchange server.

You can, however, create the group locally and add contacts to it - even
contacts that are in your Exchange Address Book or GAL.

Alternately - Exchange distribution lists, when created by administrators,
work fine in Entourage.

Not sure what you mean that you're /strictly/ using Exchange. You
still have a local Address Book, even if you don't use it for
contacts. You can create a local Address Book group and put Exchange
contacts into it. The only functionality you lose is that if you use
multiple copies of Entourage on different computers, you'd have to
create (or copy) the Group on each copy. Likewise, if you use your
Exchange account on OWA or a copy of Outlook, you won't have access
to the Group.

Each version of Entourage has better Exchange support, but it's a
matter of the developers deciding what features to prioritize. If
this is one you want, be sure to contact Microsoft and let them
know. Choose "Send Feedback on Entourage" from the Help menu in
Entourage.

Uh.. That link doesn't take you anywhere remotely useful. Simply discussing
it here is sufficient to bring it to the attention of Microsoft - they are
monitoring these newsgroups.
