Connecting to an exchange server

Hi

I have a general question about entourage 2004. I read that it can
connect to an exchange server. My question is what type of connection
will entourage use ? Is it MAPI or has it to be IMAP ?

In the case of Entourage 2004, mail, contacts, and calendar events are
retrieved using DAV, just like Outlook Web Access. IMAP is not used for
Exchange accounts in Entourage 2004. The Global Address List is the only
exception, for which Entourage uses LDAP to retrieve.

Is there any way to get mac entourage 2004 to sync up tasks kept on
exchange?

Any workarounds or third part software?
