Hi,

Has anyone had any luck syncing event categories between DateBook 6 (on a
PDA) and Entourage using Missing Sync? The responses I¹ve gotten from
mark/space don¹t make much sense (or conform to my memory of how things
sync).

Thanks,

Gary

I don't have this version of TMS, but are you syncing through
SyncServices?? (my bet is yes if it's not a Palm-based device and
probably if it's Palm based).

If it's going through SyncServices, chances are that you won't be able
to sync categories.
TMS maps PDA categories to the multiple calendars in iCal, but Entourage
doesn't. Entourage syncs it's calendar to one calendar in iCal (the one
called Entourage).

I sync Entourage all the time and the only categories that don't get
sync'd to my Palm are Calendar categories. I use the Palm conduit in
Office and not sync services.

Hehehehehe, the Palm conduit is quite a different story. It should sync
categories (but that's only for Palm-based devices),

Okay . . . I guess I¹m up a creek . . . Unless I have Sync Services working
to iCal, and then I sync with iCal.

Bother . . . .

Gary

BTW, THANKS!

Using sync services only allows one calendar item to be sent over -
Entourage. So in ical, for items to get sync'd back and forth, the
calendar has to named Entourage. On my Palm then, all items would have
the calendar category Entourage. Not great.

Actually, I don't think it does synchronize categories for calendar events,
at least not according to the Microsoft website.
