I'm helping a friend whose computer crashed and needed a complete
reinstallation of everything. I backed up the entire HD and wiped it
clean. It's OS 10.3.3. After installing Office X again, I've been
trying to import the mail from the old mailboxes into the new ones. I'm
used to mail and never use Entourage. I've copied the mbox files into
Entourage and found a couple of messages. I found the attachments under
MS User Data. I checked and the Database file under user data is
537MB(He had a lot of mail), and I'm assuming that's it, but I can't
get it back. Any help is appreciated.

You need to move the identity folder (where the Database resides) into this
location:
/Users/<Your User>/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/

Then, in Entourage, go to Entourage > Switch Identity, and choose the name
of the identity to open it.
