 - Save as Web Page When I save my calendar as a web page, I'd like all of the associated files to have the same names and paths as before, but Entourage doesn't allow this; it says the name is already taken. I end up having to delete the files first before I can save an update to my calendar, which is very fussy and annoying.  - Entourage quits at start up Help! All of the sudden Entourage quits at start up. =20 (Part of Microsoft Office X -I updated to 10.1.5, am running 10.2.8,=20 plenty of memory on a G4 533dp) Worked fine until today.  - Cannot print email After using Entourage for about a year, I have suddenly developed a problem. I can no longer print an email message. I can print from other applications (Safari, iPhoto, etc.). I can even print newsgroup message using Entourage. But when I select a email message and click on the print button or do a File -> Print, I get the spinning color wheel and Entourage is locked up until I do a Force Quit. I am running Entourage version 1.1.4 on a dual G$ Mac with OS version 10.3 and a Canon S820 printer. The only software change that I made recently is installing some software for a Canon scanner.  - entourage e-mail I'm running Jaguar 10.2 on a powerbookg4. I'd like to use Entourage=20 as my default e-mail. I configured it as default but incoming mail = still=20 goes to the mac mail program.  - importing, mbox files and contact export file I have created MBOX-format files of the Inbox and Sent Items box in Entourage 2001 (on my old iMac) so that I may import them into Entourage X on my new iMac. However, when I attempt to import, Entourage X does not recognize the files in the dialog window...nor can I drag them to the folder window as the documentation suggests. An error has occurred (-8796)" Then the following happens: - Can't preview other messages listed. - None of the buttons work (new, reply, forward...).  - Entourage calendar sync Running X and Entourage X.Trying to sync a Palm Tungsten C with Entourage. Have downloaded all of the updates that I can find for Palm(4.1), Entourage(10.1.4), Office X(10.1.5) and Mac X(10.2.8). I can get all other apps to sync (even address books) but can't get the calendar to sync. Have gone into Entourage and 'limited' all re-occurring events so there are none open ended. Still won't sync. Get message (I'll bet you've all seen this one) "Conduit Manager has unexpectedly quit. Blah, blah, blah". It never says which Conduit Manager - Palm or Entourage? I have gone into Palm and put all conduit managers into the 'disabled conduit manager' file, leaving only the Entourage conduit manager - but this hasn't worked either.  - receiving email Here's an odd one. When I first open Entourage X and receive mail, all goes well. However, when the schuedule runs, Entourage cannot locate the server or just runs forver without picking up mail. Also sometimes occurs when I select send and receive manually.  - Error 192 After upgrading to 10.3 in mid-November, my wife and I started using Entourage with Fast User Switching enabled. After 2 days, we both received error -192 from Entourage, so I searched this forum and found a similar report and a recommendation to make sure the 10.1.5 Entourage update had been applied. I checked and found we were on 10.1.4, so I applied 10.1.5. Also, I performed a regular rebuild of both Entourage databases (for each user - my wife's and mine). The error still occurred after a few days, so I performed an advanced rebuild on both databases. My wife just alerted me to an error - she doesn¹t remember if -192 was the exact error, but by the time I looked into it, the exact same behavior was present (i.e. Can not Quit Entourage, must do a 'Force Quit' using Activity Monitor; mouse-over of any of the 6 action panes (Mail, Address Book, calendar, Notes, Tasks, Custom) changes the icon to a grid with no icon). Any help or insight will be greatly appreciated!!! Don't know if Fast User Switching has anything to do with it, but thought it should be mentioned.  - Entourage X and IMAP Adminstration Hello, On MacOS 9 and Outlook Express 5, I had configure an adminstrative account (by using the 626 port) to manage the user's accounts on my server (G4 with MacOS 9 and AppleShare IP 6). I recently moved on MacOS X (Panther) and Entourage X. I successfully imported all data from OE. Everything seems to work fine except the Adminstrative account. Impossible to get the full list of folders for this account (with OE I had one folder for each user). Each time I have the following error: "Error -17949, LIST completed". I tried to configure a similar account with the Mail application provided with Panther and everything run as expected! Is there any advice about this problem ?  - Reply format Hi - New to os x and entourage. Loving it all, but - mail reply windows automatically set message details and cursor below the copy of the original message. Can I set default format to start reply message above the copy of the original message, so that I don't have to move my cursor every time and/or the recipient doesn't have to scroll through their own original message to get to my reply (which they may not even realize is there)?  - Keychain/Password issue Hello all I have an interetsing problem where for SOME of my email accounts (2 pop, 1 hotmail) Entourage seems to have spontaneously forgtten the saved passwords and refuses to save the re-entered passwords into the Keychain. I've tried the following: 1) deleting the relevant Keychain entry 2) re-entering the password and selecting "save into Mac OS Keychain" 3) running Keychain First Aid 4) restarting Note that one of my pop accounts runs perfectly throughout this whole business, and has never lost nor asked me to re-enter the password.  - entourage files/folders? i have a laptop and a desktop mac; i have a synchronizing program that i need to use to sync both computers before i leave for home with the laptop each night, as i have to check mail then too. my problem is that i cannot locate the folders where the email messages and address book etc are stored, so i can't figure out a way to copy those things over to my desktop computer. (i don't leave messages on the server because i don't want to receive them twice.) so everything is set up on my laptop and is working fine, but it's like a brandnew program on the desktop because i can't find even the address book to copy over.  - Palm Synchronising with Entourage I have both the Palm desktop and MS Entourage loaded on my iMac, and I am not able to perform a syncronisation with MS Entourage.  - Calendar Bug? If, in the Calendar, I enter an event, recurring yearly, beginning August 1, 2004, the event does not show on the calendar. If I enter it in a year in which Aug 1 isn't the first calendar block, it is normal. It also works normally in other months where the first falls in the first calendar block.  - Views I am running OS 12.2.8. Until this morning I had a split pane view where I was able to scroll through the headers in the upper pane and view a highlighted message in the lower pane. Somehow view changed to a single pane where I have to double click a message to read it in it's own window. How can I get back to a split pane view?  - Emails are sent as attachments I am currently sending my emails as HTML. However, when I send my email and attach an attachment, then the email is also sent as an attachment. Users come to me and state that they are not getting anything when I send them emails. Is there a setting that I need to set in order for the recipients of my email to see the actual email?  - "Could not open that feature. The end of file was reached." I am running OS 10.2.8 and Office 10.1.5 on a 12" G4 PowerBook. No new software installs since the 10.2.8 upgrade from 10.2.4 a month or so ago. I rebuild my entourage DB today as I do about every two or three weeks just for good measure. This time when it started back up: I can see the current e-mail and subfolders on the left, but if we click on the Inbox specifically, I get the following error: "Could not open that feature. The end of file was reached." There is no error number accompanying the message. I have done several advanced rebuilds. Same thing. What is odd is that as long as I go to subfolders, I can view them in the browsing pane. It is the Inbox that gets this error. And following that, I can not view the subfolders either. If I quit and restart, same story. I have trashed my preferences. I have run disk utility. I have repaired permissions. I created a new identity and coped the DB over to that identity's folder and that actually worked--for a few starts. Now...same story. Any ideas? This app is my business.  - [ANN] Update Area Code script I've just posted the following script, which has been requested several times on either the talk list or the newsgroup, on www.macscripter.net. It should start to be listed there within 24 hours, probably later today. Update Area Codes -- by Allen Watson (Based on an original script by David Cortright) Area codes do change sometimes. This script will walk through your Entourage Address Book, finding all the phone numbers whose area code is "123", changing them to "456" (you specify the numbers, of course). It looks at each type of phone number in turn--home phone, business phone, fax phone, and so on. When it finds a match on the old area code, it (optionally) displays the name or company it has found with the old and new numbers, and lets you choose whether or not to apply the proposed change. Self-contained, no scripting additions required. Tested on OS X 10.3.1 (Panther); should work on early versions of OS X but not guaranteed. NOTE: The script first does a fast but "fuzzy" match, finding all contacts whose telephone number contains the area code. That means that searching for "212" would match a phone number like "914-555-1212" as well as "212-555-3456". It briefly reports the number of _possible_ matches; this process greatly reduces the number of contacts that must be searched (especially it eliminates all those with nothing in the phone number fields). Then, it does a careful examination of the number for each contact in that limited list, allowing for parentheses, dashes, and leading 0's and 1's, and it offers to change only those that actually include those digits as an area code.  - Entourage nightmare When opening Entourage was presented with a window for the entry of Main Identity (as when you launch for the first time). Realised all mail, accounts and mailboxes had been lost. Rebuilt database (typical and advanced), removed preferences from library/preferences and library/preferences/microsoft, no luck. The user/documents/microsoft data folder is about 780 Mb, so I feel my mail is there somewhere, but I can't figure out how to get to it.  - Entourage hotsync X 10.1.4 I have a similar problem using A 1800 MHZ G5 running OSX 10.3 and office X 10.1.5/hotsync 10.1.4 and a Palm Vx connected via serial adaptor. After upgrading from Jag to 10.3 synchronization doesn't work any more. Before I upgraded to OS 10.3 it worked haphazardly, menaing I had to disconnect and reconnect the craddle to get it to work but now even this trick doesn't do it any more.  - Entourage X and IMAP accounts admistration I switched from OS 9 / OE 5 to OS X (Panther) / Entourage X recently. On OE I had an administrative IMAP account (using the port 626). This account allow me to see and manage all IMAP accounts I have on my server (AppleShare IP 6 on OS 9). I have successfully imported all data from OE to Entourage without any problem, but the administrative IMAP account does not work as expected. When Entourage try to get the full list of folders for this account, it displays an error: "Error -17494, CAPABILITY completed". If I try again to get the list I get the error: "Error -17494, LIST completed" Is there anything to do to solve this problem?  - Entourage won't start - not enough memory error (-108) I'm running (or at least, was running) Entourage version 9.0 (2509) from the Office 2001 suite. This is on OS 9.2.2. All of a sudden today - after restart but having not applied any kind of update at all to any Microsoft apps in ages (could that be part of my problem?) - Entourage simply will not start up. I get the splash screen and then the 'Progress' window appears for a split second before the app comes crashing down leaving me with the following error message: ******************************* "An error occurred while launching. Not enough memory. -108" ******************************* I've increased the Entourage memory allocation substantially to no avail. Restarted my Mac several times to no avail. So, I've launched Entourage with the 'option' key in order to get the database rebuild dialog. I leave 'Typical rebuild" selected and click 'Rebuild'. At this point, I get the following error: ******************************* "Compacting failed. The file is already opened with write permission. -49" ******************************* So with no other option, I click 'Okay' and am then asked if I'd like to try a complex rebuild. If I answer 'Yes', I get this: ******************************* "Rebuilding failed. The file is already opened with write permission. -49" ******************************* This whole episode comes close on the heals of a more catastrophic Entourage failure which involved my bumping up against the apps 2 gig file size limit (without any advance warning from Entourage, of course, that this limit even existed much less that I was approaching it). I hit that limit and nothing I could do would allow me to start the app short of dragging my old Identity to the desktop and forcing Entourage to create a new default Identity. To date, I haven't been able to recover any of those lost files so I'm really hoping that I haven't just lost the last three weeks worth of email, as well (it's been approximately that long since I started fresh with my newly minted Identity). Back to my current incident, though - my Main Identity folder is 167.5 MB in the Finder. Can anyone tell me what my next step should be? Thanks! Neal PS. I've heard whispered rumours of a Windows program that allows one to possibly recover Outlook mail lost in similar situations.  - Problems sending emails via Yahoo and ISP pop server I recently started using entourage to manage emails from both a Yahoo! plus account as well as the email address provided by my ISP. The ones sent through the ISP (a Zambian company called Coppernet.zm) seem moderately slow, but the ones sent through Yahoo! keep popping up with the message "Mail could not be sent using the account 'Yahoo Account'", with the explanation being "A connection failure has occurred." I am wondering if it has anything to do with the slow connection speed I have here in Zambia, however receiving emails is not a problem as new ones pop up as soon as they hit the Yahoo! inbox.  - MS Exchange question My company uses MS Exchange and does not have the IMAP function turned on. In other words, I have to have a client that views emails on the server - I can not download a copy of the email - the client must be able to view the messages on the server only. Entourage only allows me to send emails, but not see msgs. I have not found an email client that can do this in OSX - only MS Outlook 2000 for 9.22. Any suggestions? connection between your handheld and the desktop could not be
established".

I am on OSX 10.2.8 , Palm 3.5.0 , entourage 10.1.1

I have followed all online documentation and repeatedly get this error
message. Could someone please help and tell me exactly what needs to
be in what folder (conduits) and how to set this up?

You need to update to Office 10.1.4 at least. You should also get 10.1.5
while you're at it. Then, when you've applied both, download and install
the Handheld Synchronization conduit.
