 - Email List Keeps Reforming Often, when Entourage is downloading new messages from the server, it loses all the emails and begins to rebuild the complete email message list anew. It loses all the groupings by date and whether I have replied to the message. All emails are indicated as not read. Is this an Entourage quirk or my server acting weirdly.  - Print Monthly Work Week Only Hi, I am a new user to Entourage and I have had previous Mac experience. Can you print a monthly view with out the weekends (work week only).  - Entourage 2008 Does anyone have any insight to what the new version of entourage will be like? Specifically, will there be increased exchange functionality? Like, syncing tasks, notes, etc... I wonder if they can make something like that journaling function? I never used it but it might be cool? Also, I used to sync entourage to my phone with sync services. There were some fields that wouldn't sync because address book and entourage don't have same field setup. Are there any plans to improve this?  - Recurring Tasks corrupted by Leopard install? Hi, I've just upgraded my MacBook Pro to Leopard, and find that, my recurring tasks are behaving oddly in E. 2004 v11.3.6. If I open a recurring task, the "Recurring" always shows "Custom", and, if I edit the recurrence scheme it always shows "Daily" - even for events that originally were set to recur weekly or monthly - with the no. of days blank. And it always has "End after xxx occurrences" which is an option I never use, checked, with a number filled in - usually somewhere around 70. Further, some of these odd-looking tasks, seem to actually recur correctly (despite the displayed information). Others, however, are recurring incorrectly. Has anyone seen this?  - Active HTML links in email messages I may be doing something wrong. When I write an email address or an internet address in Entourage the addresses are not activated. Is there something I need to define or set so that I can see them as active in my messages? Unlike Word, Entourage seems to be difficult about this.  - Locating the Custom Dictionary path in Leopard finder By mistake I identified a custom dictionary other than the default. Now I can't locate the original custom dictionary. Where is it? The only "custom dictionary" Entourage will let me substitute is from my American Heritage dictionary, which doesn't hold my words. Your help will be appreciated.  - Syncing Blackberry Categories With Entourage I am syncing my Blackberry with Entourage using Missing Synch from MarkSpace. All of my contacts come over to the Mac Address Book application with the Category associated with each Contact. However, the Category doesn't get transferred to Entourage. Microsoft says there is no way around this. But I have 1,500 contacts and I would have to update each on to add the Category!!! Yikes! Has anyone figured out a way around this problem??  - signature in new mails. Hello, in the windows world in Outlook 2003 it is possible to define a signature in that way that it is automatical displayed when creating a new mail. I can create signatures in entourage too, but I was not able to find the setting, that the signature is displayed, when creating a new mail. Is this possible and if yes how? Thanks for all answers.  - Entourage not responding Hi Yesterday I tried attaching a 800mb wav-file to an e-mail. Big mistake apparently: Entourage froze and I couldn't shut it or the computer down in any regular way, so I had to press down the power button. Now when I open Entourage, it just freezes from the beginning. No response, just the swirling beach ball and the computer churning. In Activity Monitor both Entourage and Database Daemon are highlighted red as in "not responding". When I shut down DD, Entourage stops churning but then all Entourage functionality has disappeared too. Either way I cannot access my e-mail through Entourage anymore!  - Entourage after Leopard Update Hi - I've just updated to Leopard and now find that all incoming email (and sent mail) using Entourage, after arriving in the correct folders from my Hotmail account - is then dumped into my Deleted folder.  - Rules don't work and ZIP greyed out Hello, I have two questions maybe someone have a idea. My rules don't work always. The mailing list rules always work. But when I add some personal rules some of them work and other not also if I make them all with the same procedure. Does someone have any idea what can be happened? (Entourage 2004) The other problem I have is that I have here installed Stuffit 12 deluxe and I also can use it fine. In the settings I also told Entourage to use it for attachments. When I make a new mail and look into the attachment advanced section, there is only standing at compression : None and I can't tick it on because it's greyed out.  - Entourage/.Mac question Hello, I have a friend who has set up an alias on her .Mac account. She, as I, use Entourage for our mail but are stumped over how to set up the alias on Entourage. She can send and receive from both her regular and alias address using .Mac mail on the web and can receive both on Entourage but cannot send new mail from the alias using Entourage. We have tried setting up a new account on Entourage but .Mac rejects the alias address when she tries to send. Since .Mac allows both sending and receiving with the alias from her .Mac account on the web my guess is that we are not configuring the Entourage account properly. BTW, she has no problem sending and receiving from her main .Mac identity using Entourage.  - sorting contacts by custom date Is there any way to sort my contact list chronologically by the custom date?? Right now I put in a date and it automatically turns 1/1/07 into Sat.  - AT&T Yahoo! Email settings Ever since AT&T Yahoo! changed its email settings, I've been able to receive my Yahoo! mail only sporadically. I also get continual "bot" messages from AT&T warning me that I'm not using their new settings. I open my Accounts settings and find that the settings are right, with the exception that the port override button is now unchecked (which, by the way, is what the Entourage Help Page says is correct).  - Entourage 2003 crash My wife has a G5 with OS 10.4 (about to update). Microsoft Office 2003 programs (WOrd, Excel, mainly) run fine EXCEPT for Entourage, which opens but cannot access the Internet most of the time. None of the mail settings have changed. Sometimes a restart allows upload/ download, and other Inet applications run. I tried reinstalling Office, which seemed to work for a while. Any ideas?  - Global Address List I've (sadly) figured out that I cannot access the GAL from Exchange in Entourage unless I'm connected to the network. Unlike Outlook connected via RPC over HTTP, Entourage seems not to be able to see the GAL. Does anyone know if this feature is fixed in Entourage 2008?  - Deleting messages that have already been deleted My problem is this: I have downloaded all my mail to Entourage. All of my older messages were somehow downloaded twice. I deleted the ones that I didn't want (including both of some of the messages) but when I hooked up to the server, only one of the messages was deleted. Now my Deleted Items folder has several hundred messages in it that I do not want on my computer but I can't get rid of them. My automatic script to empty the folder works for all messages but these duplicates and I can't manually delete them. I have checked online but the messages have been erased from the server, but not from my computer. How can I get around this and delete these messages? Thanks!  - Weird word wrapping Hi all, I'm new to this group and I have a problem. On some emails when I reply and I get to the end of a line it doesn't automatically wrap around but instead the first line gets chopped up so that each letter of the first line is on the second line, then the third, etc. Like this: First sentence is this Then when I get to the end of the line it turns into: F i r s t etc. Has anyone ever had this problem?  - Setting default view in Entourage 2004 Hello, Is there any way to set a default view for all folders or windows in Entourage 2004? For example, if I create a new folder, it defaults to show items in groups, and the columns include Projects, Categories, Conversations, etc. For every folder, I have to remove the ones I don't want. And if I have to clear the cache in Exchange or rebuild my database, I have to redo this with every folder again. Very annoying. I've looked everywhere I can think of to see if you can set a default, but I can't find anything. Am I missing something, or is this setting a default view not available in Entourage 2004? I pass along the jokes I like to a circle of friends and I would like to have a separate listing of those email addresses. This causes me to manually delete the e-mail from the server.  - Multiple Copies of Outgoing Emails Hi. I am new to Mac and Entourage. I have been successful in figuring out how to create separate identities for my husband and myself. However, when I was testing it out, I found that when I send an email from my account to my husbands account, a copy of the email not only goes into my sent box but also a copy is placed in my inbox.  - Error 17099 Cant send any mail anymore, help! Wow, this is the doozies of all doozies since I've owned e mail All of the sudden I cannot reply to or send any new e mails out. Every singly e mail I sent says, "could not rely message, error 17099, mail could not be sent. These are little tiny email with no attachment, it's not a space issue. The internet & modem are working fine. And receiving mail is no problem. I have 10 different e mail account spread across several websites and it happens with all of them including the four accounts I have with ISP Time Warner. So this cannot be isolated to some setting in some accounts, it's across the board. Just spoke with Time Warner. The morons they are, they blame it on software. Are they right? What should I do?  - Gmail problem I'm trying to reply to someone with gmail account.  - Cannot sync with iCal I just purchased a Motorola RAZR phone and I would like to sync both my contacts and my Calendar items. I am able to get the contacts to sync with Address book and then with the phone (although to get it started is like starting an old English sports car, you have try try multiple times until it runs smooth and then there are no problems). But no matter what I do I cannot get iCal to sync. Entourage creates the Entourage calendar in iCal but no information shows up in iCal (Version 2.0.5). I have tried the instructions on the MS website and deleted the contents of the SyncServices folder and the renabled syncing but still no luck. I am running 10.4.11 and Entourage 11.3.6.  - Inserting Signature as Default I just began using Entourage and can't figure out how to set my signature so it appears on all e-mails automatically. I found the location to build the signature but can't find location to set the default. Also, how do you set Entourage so when you delete an e-mail the cursor moves down to the previous e-mail rather than up to the next e-mail? Thanks.  - 24 hour time problem Hi, I have a user that is having problems entering times after 11:00 for calendar entries. He recently installed Leopard. His system is set to use 24 hour time. When he creates a new calendar entry the time is shown as 9':'00, with the apostrophes. If he attempts to enter in say 13:00 for a 1:00 pm meeting, it ignores the first digit and only accepts the 3.  - Two Junk Folders for Entourage Exchange Account; How Can I Delete Two junk folders appear under my Exchange folder in Entourage. I would like to delete one, but am unable to do so. When I highlight the Exchange folder to see all folders in the right- hand panel, then highlight either one of the junk folders, the delete trash can is not active.  - 24 hour delay to receive Yahoo forwarded mail w/Entourage; I have found two instances where email messages appear immediately in OWA, but take 24 hours to appear in Entourage. The same delay is experienced when a remote SMTP server sends an error message back to my Exchange account. I am using Exchange Server 2007 and Entourage 2004. How can I eliminate this delay in receiving the messages with Entourage? In searching the web, I have found that others also experience the delay, but I have not seen any solutions. If someone sends me a large attachment I can save it BUT I cannot delete it?

The Remove button seems to be permanently 'greyed' out.

Any ideas what's wrong here?

Hi,

you will need to click on the attachment first to select it, and then the
Remove button should become active. You can also select a message and then
click on Message>Remove All Attachments.

Note: Entourage can only remove attachments from messages that are "on the
computer". For "online" accounts (IMAP, HTTP, Exchange), Entourage only
removes the attachment from the local copy of the message; the message on
the server still contains the attachment(s).
