Entourage just stopped allowing me to access my preferences.
Everything else works, but when I press command-comma the pref window
opens for a second and the Entourage quits with no error message, just
asks if I want to reopen or send a report to Apple. I have tried
trashing the Entourage Preferences in my home lib and checked the
database integrity. Neither helped.

Try removing & re-installing Office 2004. That has corrected the issue for
other users.
1. Launch the Remove Office tool, located in HD/Applications/Microsoft
Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office.
2. Press the "Continue" button to locate currently installed copies of
Office.
3. Select the version(s) of Office that you want to remove, and press the
"Continue" button.
4. Choose what components you wish to remove. For a complete removal,
choose to "Remove the Office 2004 folder," "Remove the selected Office 2004
system files," and "Preferences."

When the removal is complete, you can then re-install Office 2004 from the
CD. Then, use Microsoft AutoUpdate to get the latest updates.

If the "Remove Office" and re-install does not help, the next step would be
to test your entire User preferences folder . There have been reports of
third party application preferences causing problems with Entourage. Usually
some font management application. In one case, the culprit was a bad
preference called com.markzware.FC5.FontDBWtSys.

Test for other preference conflicts:

Testing in a new User will quickly tell you if the problem is your User's
folder that contains the problem.

Thanks Mickey and Diane! I'll try removing then reinstalling and hopefully
that will work.
I appreciate the suggestions!
