 - Entourage deletes Address Book entries? Well, after using Entourage for about 5 minutes, I felt "crowded" by all the Contact info (I used to love Outlook on my PC, too. Funny how time with a Mac gets you used to "cleanliness"). So I went back to Address Book and, lo and behold, all my Contacts are gone! I remember when I was using Entourage, I had two copies of every Contact. Well, I blithely went through and deleted one set. Did Entourage clean out my Address Book? Tag: Calendar Sync Tag: 84952

 - Can I install Office 2008 Standard Edition Hi; I installed 2008 Student Teacher Edition over my 2004 Student Teacher Edition and unhappily found that Exchange is broken in the 2008 Student Teacher Edition. Reluctantly, I now have purchased the 2008 Standard Edition. 1) How do I install it the standard edition over the Student Teacher Edition?or rather 2) How do I uninstall the 2008 Student Teacher Edition without deleting my 2004 Student Teacher Exchange settings. 3) Will installing it over the 2008 Student Teacher Edition work?  - Entourage 2004 problem causes my computer to freeze: Please help I have been using Entourage 2004 without a hiccup on my iBook for over 2 years. However, about a month ago Entourage started to check and update my inbox, all my sub folders under my inbox, sent items folder, and deleted items at random. This is quite annoying because every time it checks these folders my arrow turns into a spinning beach ball and I am frozen from performing activities in Entourage (writing/checking email, reviewing my calendar, etc.) To try and resolve, I went into tools, run schedule, edit schedule to change the schedule without any success. It still checks all these folders at random.Entourage problems All I want to do is receive mail according to no set schedule. In other words, I only want to receive mail in my inbox when I hit the send & receive button & do not want Entourage to continuously update my folders.  - How do I remove identity? Installed 08 Office, but I keep getting an error message regarding the data file in "main identity". Now Entourage will not open at all.I have tried rebuilding the data base as called for, but it never makes it to the end. An error message stops the process. The other applications will work, after I close the data base utility. I had been using Office 04, and uninstalled it as well. I also reinstalled '08, but the problem is still there.  - out of office assistant I bought the 2008 edition of office for mac, home & student (I've used the 2004 student edition since it was new). I was under the impression that the new version would have the nice little, and seemingly simple, feature called "out of office assistant". It does not. Seems I had to buy the next version up to get this. Not sure why this feature is linked to exchange server features.  - Mouse wheel does not scroll preview reading pane Hi, I'm having a problem with Entourage 2008 that I think is a bug. I have the Logitech MX Revolution mouse and it has a scroll wheel on it. This performs the same as the scroll wheel on Apple's Mighty Mouse. The issue is when I am reading a long email that has complex HTML in it, the mouse scroll wheel does not reliably scroll the message down when the message is in the right-hand preview/reading pane. The weird thing is, it's spotty -- sometimes it scrolls, then other times it doesn't: if you get it working scrolling down, then try to scroll up, it doesn't work. Scrolling works fine in all other applications (well I haven't tried other office applications yet, but at least in all non-MS applications it works perfectly), and it also works perfectly in the middle pane that displays the list of messages. Note: I know to click the message itself to make sure the "focus" is on the reading pane. I've done that. But still there's this problem. I rely on the mouse wheel entirely to scroll while reading. (Note: the scroll arrows in the far right work flawlessly near as I can tell, it's just the mouse wheel that doesn't work.) Any ideas?  - Failure of scanned image to import to Entourage 2008 I scanned an image using the MP Navigator EX software and my Cannon printer/scanner, as I always do. When I clicked on "attach to an email" and chose Entourage, the following error message popped up: FAILED TO SEND EMAIL. CHECK YOUR MAIL PROGRAM SETTINGS AND TRY AGAIN. Entourage failed to open an email window. When I used iMail, it opened a new email document window, attached the image and sent it off.  - Entering an event in Calendar Strange behavior: regardless of the method, entering the date manually, clicking on the calendar icons next to the date, attempting to change the date of an existing event, impossible to enter a January 22nd 7pm (for example) event, Entourage changes the date to one in the past as I Save/Close and complains the event is in the past.  - Calendar does not take future events I enter an event for a date in the future outside the current month and it puts it in the current month on the same numbered day. I cannot span a date outside the current month, and when I try to schedule an event say, 6 months in advance, I get a message that it is an event in the past and puts it on th same number day in the current month.  - How do you insert a link in an email message? In Apple's Mail, you can highlight a word or several words in an email body, go to the Edit menu, and then select Link -> Add... and a box pops up where you can type or paste in a link. When you close the box, the word(s) you highlighted become hyperlinked to whatever link you entered into the box. It's a great way to insert/embed links in an email rather than filling your message with visible (and often long and ugly) URLs. Is there any way to do this with Entourage 2008? Thanks. When I use the apostrophe key it acts like a hard return and moves my cursor to the next line. 2. My font sizes change and enlarge without any effort on my part.  - Problem forwarding HTML emails I've had this problem in Entourage 2004 and unfortunately it's still in Entourage 2008. I think it's a bug, or else bad design, but maybe it's something I'm doing?? Here's the deal: I get a really nicely formatted HTML email, complete with graphics, from a professional source (newsletter, company, etc.) I want to share it with colleagues. I hit FORWARD and suddenly instead of the nicely formatted HTML, it loses the graphics completely and displays HTML tags in brackets -- i.e., the full URL's. How can I forward a message with HTML graphics?? This really makes me look unprofessional when I try to pass along info. It's worse than forwarding on a BlackBerry. HELP!! Totally unacceptable. In Outlook I can forward the same emails fine, no problem, but they just turn into tag gibberish on Entourage. BTW, I do have my default format set to HTML in the preferences.  - Mail not coming to my sub folders I have an "Inbox" folder and 2 subfolders listing my 2 email identities within Entourage version 12.0.0.  - Entourage 08 - Missing items from the Toolbar Entourage 2004 had a handy feature on the New E-Mail Toolbar that allowed me to move a message to a specific folder after it was sent. This is missing in Entourage 2008; it seems to be tucked away inside the Message menu, with no way to replace it back onto the toolbar. I'm disappointed. In the industry I work in, we are required by law to retain all correspondence both in and out, so I move all sent messages to a sub-folder specific to each client.  - Entourage 2008 db corrupt & fails continously after initial import Well, I got Office 2008 yesterday and installed it immediately. Everything went swimmingly. I love it. I opened Entourage and was prompted to import my old identity. Note: I use exchange and have a huge mailbox. Total size of items to import: 17.1gb. I ran through the import process which completed in ~4 hrs or so. Enterourage opened, and everything worked great. I used it for about half the day in the office. I eventually noticed that email wasn't updating in my entourage (my pc desktop outlook had 20 newer messages..) so I closed entourage and reopened. On reopening I was prompted with a corrupt db message and asked to repair. The repair takes approx 3-4 hours to run, and the microsoft db repair utility eventually crashes. It prompts to send a report and to be helpful I went ahead and did this. I've tried a few things - rebooting and running the repair utility, etc. to no avail. It looks like I'll need to dump this db and start over.. but I'm hoping not. Any insight or guidance on what I might try would be appreciated.  - Address Book (Entourage 2008) sync with Exchange Contacts problem I have had this problem in both the beta version of Entourage 2008 and the full release. I cannot get my Exchange contacts to sync to the Entourage 2008 Address Book Contacts folder. Everything else seems to work ok and the status indicates that the sync is taking place, but the Contacts folder in Address Book remains empty. No new mail sound notification. Yet When I receive junk mail I get a notification sound..  - How to export/import a *particular* calendar with Berkowitz I'm trying to export and then import one specific calendar from Entourage 2004.  - Entourage 2008 Generally pleased with Office 2008. Switched back to Entourage after a year of using Apple Mail. Word is a major improvement in speed and ease of use.  - Can't import my V.x entourage identities I cannot import my old data into 2008 Entourage. When I do the import operation it sees the two identities but instantly returns.  - Bad Local Calendar - Entourage 2008 I have a corrupt local calendar. I don't use it anymore, as I have an Exchange calendar that is now my primary calendar. However, if I ever launch the local calendar, it crashes the Database Daemon. I think this is also why My Day also crashes on Entourage 2008. I've created a couple of items in my Entourage Calendar and tried to sync with iCal. While an "Entourage" category shows up in iCal and it is checked, I see no events show up on my iCal Calendar. Any suggestions?

Well it "should" sync so there is obviously something wrong there.
Do you have an Exchange account?? If you do, you then have an On my
computer and an Exchange calendar. Entourage will only sync the one tied
to your default e-mail account. That could explain the problem,
