Most of the messages I can find about synchronizing or importing assume we
are importing from Outlook into Entourage.
I want to synchronize, because I belong to a work group that uses things
like GoToMeeting that just won¹t work on the Mac. I¹ve been trying to get by
using Eudora as the common email program and Now software for calendaring
and contacts.
That all sort of works, but I often need to respond to calls for meetings
and stuff like that. It feels safer to migrate to Entourage/Outlook for
calendaring as well as email. (I gave up on Eudora a while back, but I have
been keeping it current on my Mac and the PC since it is thoroughly
cross-platform.)
I have a solution for email... Not one I like, but it works.
I bcc an account called ³Outcopy² with every send. Then I keep all the
inbound mail from that account on both computers. Of course all I have to do
to keep incoming synchronized is log onto my mail servers.
I do NOT use exchange servers. I use my own domain email accounts hosted at
GoDaddy.
I see this and that program offered that will enable synchronizing Entourage
and Outlook, but could someone please tell me what really works well and how
to bend it to my needs?
Thanks!
Best,
- Bill
