 - Entourage (Office 2004) won't send Entourage in Office v.X worked with no problems. After installing Office 2004 it still receives email, but won't send. It eventually times out after giving response "connecting securely to imailhost.worldnet.att.net". The "Mail" client included in OS X is configured exactly the same and it works perfectly.  - user data lkocation Because of the rather small disk space available for jaguar on a PWB Wallstreet, 6 GB, I need to move as much files as possible from the 6 GN OS X partition to another partition on a 20 GB internal disk. I noticed that microsoft user data in home/documents folder took much place, 1 GB. Is it possible to move this user data folder to another place in another partition ?  - Deleting On My Computer account in Entourage 10.4 Brethren -- We recently migrated to Exchange Server for our network of 15 Windoze XP boxes and five Macs. Before the migration, we had POP3 accounts that I read through an account on Entourage labeled "On My Computer." I added an Exchange server account, but Entourage defaults to the mailboxes in the "OMC" acct. and I can't seem to delete this. Is there a way or will this account be a poignant reminder of the good old daze of POP3?  - Error -30876? Running Office 2004. When attempting to print from Entourage I get an unknown error message (error code "-30876") and no printing. This condition applies to all Entourage printing except Mail.  - Schedules Is anyone else getting Error -17900 when checking email using the Send & Receive schedule? Two of my email accounts which worked fine on Office X are refusing to behave.  - Does Entourage work with Exchange shared Address's? I was under the assumption that entourage worked with the Exchange shared address just like it did in Outlook. But this doesn't always seem to be the case. Would I also be correct in assuming that some exchange administrators don't know how to setup a proper shared address book?  - Entourage Mail error2 I am running Office v.X on the Mac. Powerbook G4. System 10.2.6. I downloaded and updated in this order- 10.1.2, 10.1.4 and then 10.1.5. The problem has not gone away. i tried starting a new account, and could. But I could not change the default account, no delete it. Any help is appreciated.  - Entourage Mail Error Two days ago I launched my Entourage. It is set to automatically check for email and I got the message "the action could not be completed. Mail error." the main page, when I hit "OK" is blank. I can click and an email message will appear. If I use the command-A they all appear as usually. If I use the keyboard command-K (send receive all) it will download the mail. The "send and receive all" will not work. I can open the mail, but I cannot delete messages. Im gettin g a refund on office2004 I get this message when I try to create an emaiaccount: Verifying incoming (POP3) mail account "xxx%xxx.xxx" on "mail.xxx.com": Logging on as xxx@xxx.xxx Verification Failed: "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password" (-17900 ). If you look closely at the loginname and the mailaccount you see that entourage has made my "%" to a "@" and therefore I cant login on my email It doesnt matter if I do this with the wizard or manually.  - CAN I MOVE A MESSAGE FROM INBOX TO A PUBLIC FOLDER WITH EXCHANGE 2004 So this is the BIG question for me. We use public folders in our business and while under Entourage X I could access public folders and read the contents I could NOT move anything from my personal folders to the public folders. That for me is a showstopper as I have to open Outlook 2001 every time I want to move something. I have read that Entourage 2004 uses OWA as the access method to get to Exchange - this brings up the SAME question again. When I try to use OWA from the Mac it also does NOT allow me to move messages from my inbox to a public folder (I can browse them OK) When I am on windows XP with MS Explorer - I CAN move messages from my inbox to a public folder. The explanation for this difference I remember boiling down to ActiveX - you have it on windows and not on Mac. THIS APPLIES TO EXCHANGE 2000 - I would welcome comments from the MVP's as to whether 1) Enourage 2004 and Exchange 2000 now permit this moving behaviour OR 2) Entourage 2004 AND Exchange 2003 permit this behaviour OR 3) SOL :) Thanks Tag: Attachment too large Tag: 37040

 - office macX will not launch installed office on new emac. Worked fine until i tried to import info = from outlook express. Then entourage would not launch at all. Reinstalled=20 entourage and it would still not launch. Now Excel and Word quit=20 immediately after it is opened. I want to uninstall the entire office = program=20 and reinstall.  - Newsgroups (reading threaded messages while sorted by date) This may just be something simple to do, but It's eluding me. I like to view newsgroup messages ''threaded'' while they are sorted by ''date''. Outlook Express on my XP PC does this just like I want it, but in Entourage, when I sort by ''date and then ''thread'' the messages, it automatically reverts to sorting the messages by ''subject'' alphabetically.  - Entourage 2004 Exchange Support Very Bad It looks like Entourage 2004 has very, very poor Exchange support. First, it attempts to synchronize all of the folders underneath Inbox and there appears to be no way to select which folders are synchronized and which are not. For anyone who has tens of thousands of emails filed in subfolders of Inbox, this is a real problem. I tried to categorize certain folders but it looks like limiting which items are synchronized by category only works with Calendar and Contacts. I also tried to opt to have just headers downloaded but this doesn't seem to work at all. Second, Tasks and Notes are not synchronized at all. Why Microsoft doesn't implement synchronization of these two folders I just don't know. It just seems ridiculous that Microsoft would ship a product with such poor support for another one of its products. Tag: Attachment too large Tag: 37023

 - How to delay sending messages? I would appreciate help on how to set up Entourage so that my messages aren't instantly sent when I press Command-Enter. At work I use Outlook 2003 and have it set up to send messages only every 10 minutes. This is great because more often than I should I realise only after pressing Send that the message has a mistake or needs further editing. But here at home, using Entourage v.X (latest) on OS 10.3.3, my messages go instantly. I notice there is a Send Now and Send Later but don't understand the mechanics of their functionality, other than what sounds obvious. I have also got two Schedules set up under Tools, called "Send & Receive All" and "Send All." They both are set up for Repeating Schedule every 10 minutes.  - Problem with toolbar while reading messages I have a frustrating issue with the toolbar icons while reading messages and I'd like to know if anyone has a workaround. When I'm reading email, and clicking on the "Delete" toolbar button, for some reason the word "Reply" appears next to the "Reply" toolbar button. Unfortunately, this causes all of the toolbar buttons to move. The side effect of this is that I have to constantly look to see where the delete button is for the message I'm reading. Is there any way to customize the toolbar so that either a) the text never appears next to the toolbar buttons or b) I can move the delete button all the way to the left so it doesn't move as the toolbar buttons are rearranged. Big question I have is whether the latest Entourage conduit supports Hotsync of categories with DateBk5 on the Palm. The same feature as offered by the conduit from Now-up-to-Date.  - Syncing Entourage I decided to switch to Entourage recently. What I would like to do is find an easy way to sync the information on Entourage from my work computer (PMG4 Quicksilver) to my PBG4 so I can work at home. I am running 10.3.3. I have the POP mail settings to leave a copy of the message to the server so I can download messages on both computers but I want any changes I make to the notes, calendar, or address book to sync up also. With the Apple Address book and iCal, this could be done using iSync. Is there anything similar for Entourage? I don't have a Palm but I do have an iPod. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!  - Access Message Draft Window in Applescript I want to duplicate a mail message in Applescript... so I want to be able to read the current message draft window and create a new message based on its contents using an Applescript... any ideas?  - Entourage 2004: Problem with rules I just upgraded to Office 2004 and I'm having a problem with the rules. I have a very straightforward rule that simply looks for mail where my email address is in any "To" address and assigns those messages to the "To Me" category. For some reason, it doesn't always work. I'm looking at a message, I'm clearly in the "To" field. When I run "Apply Rules -> To Me" it works properly, but when I run "Apply Rules -> All Rules" it doesn't work. I only have the one rule, so I'm baffled. Has anyone else experienced this?  - Restore backup? I have accidentally wiped out my Entourage address book by syncing a different handheld instead of my own. I clicked the cancel button as soon as I realized what was happening, but by then the Entourage address book had already been replaced. Two questions: 1. The Palm handheld had a different user name than my own. Does this mean I can somehow get my old address book for my own profile back? How? 2. I do run backups of my computer. If the answer to quesiton #1 is "no", then what files should I restore in order to get my old address book back?  - Ent. X not getting emails from new Exchange Our old exchange server crashed (hardware problem) about 1.5 months ago. We have rebuilt it but since then some entourage clients cannot get their email. All the windows clients work fine along with the web access for the mail. The entourage clients will try to sync with the server (thru POP3/SMTP) and it will just say "recieving messages" and will not actually pull anything down. I can setup IMAP and that works fine but we wanted to keep the email off the server as much as possible. I have updated the clients but they do the same thing. Not all entourage clients are having this problem and some have just started to develop the issue. Any ideas?  - Memory problem with Entourage I am using version 10.1.5 of Entourage and OS X 10.2.8 on an iBook. I keep getting a message that a performance cannot be performed because I am low on memory. I have 384 mb on my iBook. I have cleaned out all of my files, pictures, etc. and don't have that much in any of my Entourage mail boxes. I cannot find a way to increase the memory allotment for Entourage. Several times I've had to reboot my computer to get rid of the message.  - Entourage Proxy Setting I'm am unable to render HTML pages in email. I am behind a firewall that = requires authenication. In Entourage X, I would get a pop-up for=20 authentication the first time I needed to use the firewall. Now I don't = get=20 anything. I just get red X's where there are images. If I click the get = pictures=20 link, it doesn't change. The network preferences are setup. I don't have a problem with any other = application. I am using Entourage from Micorsoft Office X on a MacOSX system. I
inadvertantly attached an EPS file that was 92 Megs. It attempts for
an hour to send the file and then gives me an error that there is not
enough memory. I have tried to delete the outgoing message, but my
program shuts down every time I click on the message. Every time I
need to Send/Receive messages, I have to deal with this file
attempting to send and I would just like to delete it, but I can't
figure out how.

Go to Outbox. Turn of Preview Pane in View menu (opt-\). Now select the
message and delete. Empty Deleted Items folder in Tools/Run Schedule without
going there.
