Applying "Getting Things Done" concepts with Entourage X

In the continual holy grail for better productivity and more peace of
mind in a hectic world, it was recommended that I read David Allen's
book, Getting Things Done, a couple months ago. I found it just the
thing for which I'd been searching. He really takes off where Franklin
Covey stopped.

One of the outcomes has been fully diving into Entourage's Calendar as
well as the (to me, brand new) Notes section. At first, I thought I
might have to get and learn some new program (such as Life Balance
http://www.llamagraphics.com/), but the more I force myself to use all
that Entourage X offers, I think it will work well for my needs and
the concepts of GTDone.

However, I'm seeing how useful it would be if the Notes and Calendar
events were more text-formattable, mainly with bold, colors, bullets,
etc.

Does anyone know if the next version of Office/Entourage ( I hear it's
coming out end of 03?) will offer formatting in the Notes and Calendar
Events?

I don't know whether the next version of Entourage will offer formatting in
those areas. However, text in Notes can be formatted in Entourage 2001 and
X! Just click in the main pane, go to the Format menu and you'll see all of
your options there. There's also a toolbar right above the composition pane
that allows you to change formatting. I find it unlikely that Microsoft
would remove this functionality since many take advantage of it, but you
never know.

As for calendar, I truly don't know, but a workaround using Notes can be
found here. You might find it interesting.

Great tip and link, Mickey, on connecting a HTML Note to a Calendar
event. I think that could work for my needs. I so still hope that
Entourage 11 offers text formatting for their Tasks.
