 - Moving Folders on My Computer Inbox to Exchange Inbox time and date affected When I move messages from my Folders on My Computer Inbox to the exchange 2003 server inbox, all of my dates are randomly changed, there is not pattern that I can see when doing this.  - Mail Not Exiting the Send Box Folks, Of late I have been having some difficutly in sending e-mails or calendar reminders. I have 5 of these sitting items in my Send box that won't send. I tried opening each one in the Send folder and sending them out again, but to no avail. Any suggestions as to how I can these e-mails sent? This has not always been the case.  - quick search in all folders??? Just switched from Mail to Entourage - my university exchange server now only allows Entourage. My major complaint so far is that there seems to be no quic and simple k way to search ALL mail folders at once - and then repeat the search. This is something I neeed to do a lot in order to access old mail in folders imported from Mail as well as messages in the multiple Entourage folders I established to organize my incoming mail. The only procedure I can find is in three stages and one must repeat the whole procedure for each search. In other words, click Find, then More Options, then Location (to choose all folders). This is clumsy and irritating. Is there no hack that can take me directly to a search in all folders with one click?  - HTML forwarding When I receive an HTML message in Entourage and "download images", it displays as expected. However, when I try and forward it, all of the formatting disappears and only the text and links remain.  - Folders for Different Emails Is it possible in Entourage to have emails download into their own folders? By that I mean that I have several email accounts that are checked automatically every 2 minutes, but they all download into the same preview pane. I would like emails from he different accounts I have download into their respective folders so I can separate them more easily.  - Entourage setup with Mac laptop OS x Hello and HELP! About 6 months ago, I bought a Macbook for use with school projects and I bought the Microsoft Office mac 2004. I loaded the program into my computer, but I have never been able to get entourage to work. I really do not know much about computers. O have no idea what SMTP is etc... When I try to send an e-mail through entourage, the program sends for a long time, then I get this message that tells me that the message could not be send and has been placed in my box. I have web service with ATT which is sbcglobal.net In the entourage set up book that came with the program, under the BEFORE YOU BEGIN section, the directions read to make sure you have access to the internet through an ISP or network connection. I assume this is ATT sbcglobal.net. Next, it reads: make sure you know your e-mail account and password, which I do, and the incoming and outgoing mail servers, which I do not know what this means.  - Setting Up Shared Calendar and Address Book Hello, I am having trouble setting up shared Calendar and Address Book (Contacts). I want to share my Calendar and Address Book with my assistant. I am using Entourage 2004 with a 2003 Exchange Server. I have enabled permissions for the Calendar and the Address Book. When I go to my assistant's computer to "Open Other User's Folder" enter my name click Find. My name and e-mail address appears so I click on that. Then, I get an error message saying my mailbox cannot be found. I am connecting to a web-hosted Exchange Server. The Exchange Server Admin knows little about Macs and Entourage. Any ideas?  - Adding emails as attachments. Can somebody please advise where I am going wrong with this simple proceedure. I have to send a company copies of various emails I have received . I decided to create a new folder on my desktop and "save as" the edited emails to this folder. I then composed a new email to the company concerned and tried to add the folder as anattachment. Unfortunately everytime I selected "add" i got the following message. "Entourage cannot attach item "xxx". Aladin Systems Stuffit software must be installed on your computer in order to attach this item to a message". I do have Stuffit 10 installed and have never had a problem in the past adding any kind of attachments. Currently using OSX 10. 4. 10. Where am I going wrong? Any help would greatly appreciated.  - SOS - New Entourage Calendar items not showing up on exchange server. Exchange Server 2003, Entourage 11.3.3 For some reason new events that I add in Entourage are showing up in Entourage, but not being synced to Exchange, so they aren't showing up on my Blackberry, or on other computers whether I use Entourage or Outlook. OS 10.4.10 Ibook G4 1.5 GB Ram Entourage 11.3.2 Hi, In "reply and forward²-"use quoting characters when forwarding² check box, I've left the box unchecked, but I still get quoting characters in my replies. Does that preference mean /only/ when forwarding, or also when Replying? I don't want quoting characters in replying. which I use much much more than forwarding. Also, If I write to a NG and use HTML, will the post arrive in ³Plain Text² (which seems to be the norm) in NGs, or will it screw things up at the NG end?  - Font Sizes increase with each Reply to an email Greetings Listers. Here's a very odd behaivior we're seeing. In Entourage 2004, OSX 10.4, as a user replies to an email and the reply includes all previous emails, after 2 times of the email travelling back and forth, the font sizes begin to increase on the oldest (original) included emails. What the? I mean that the original email is a 12 point Verdana...by the third email, it's 14 point and by the fourth it's a huge 18 point all on it's own!  - Cannot remove or delete attachments: button and menu item greyed-out I cannot delete or remove attachments that I receive when using Entourage as my mail reader. The "Remove" button remains greyed-out and un-selectable when I highlight the attachment in the attachment list box of the message pane. Similarly, right clicking directly on the attachment opens up a small floating menu box where the "Remove attachment" item is greyed-out. I am using Entourage 11.3.6 connected to an Exchange server and OS X 10.4.10. Any help or ideas about how I can get Entourage to delete or remove email attachments would be greatly appreciated!  - Can I delete a message without moving it to Deleted Items I like to delete certain messages directly from the Inbox without them going to Deleted Items folder. I remember Outlook in Windows used to have this feature. You held the Shift Key down and clicked on the Delete icon. Is there any such feature in Entourage?  - deleting emails from server for Exchange accounts Hello. Using Entourage 10.3.6 on OS X 10.4.10 PPC I cannot figure out how to remove emails from the server while keeping a local copy. The options which are normally available for IMAP and POP accounts to leave a copy on the server (or not) are no where to be seen for Exchange accounts. When I click the green and yellow icon next to the emails, and select "Delete Message from Server at Next Connection," nothing happens... I've reconnected to the server to and it still shows the "on server" icon and the "Leave Message on Server" is checked again for that email. I've emptied cache and syncronized now and still no difference. Is this just broken or is there something on the Exchange server that maybe needs to be set? Any ideas?  - Sorting Contact Info in Entourage by Category then by Name Hello, How do you sort contacts in Entourage 2004 (operating system is OS X) by category then by name? When I click / sort on the name column it sorts fine alphabetically but when I click / sort on category column the name column no longer sorts alphabetically and the names are now listed randomly. I am not to particular if the name column sorts first name, last name or last name, first name but would like the name column to sort alphabetically after the category column has been clicked / sorted - similar to the way Microsoft Outlook sorts (sort by category, then by name, then by company and so on). On a side note the the contacts I have entered in the company field do not sort alphabetically either. I do not have any information entered in the name fields just in the company field and for some reason these "company" contacts do not sort alphabetically either.  - 24 hour delay for Entourage to see Exchange 2007 messages re: My Entourage doesn't show some message on Exchange until 24 hours have passed. I have a MacPro, 2.33 Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X 10.4.10 My Entourage was formerly connected to Exchange 2003 and worked fine, however since moving my mailbox to an Exchange 2007 there are some messages that Entourage will not show me until 24 hours have passed. I see them fine if I use OWA or Outlook. Most of the messages(not all) are admin messages from our Mailman server. Entourage does retrieve messages coming from that server that are distributed to any of the lists that I am subscribed to without delay. I am the list admin and don't see most of the admin messages for 24 hours from the time the message is received in my mailbox. Any ideas what the problem could be?  - Entourage problem Dear Folks We use a very old version of Entourage X on our Macs. One user has over 7000 items in her Entourage environment. Just recently she started having trouble sending and receiving through Entourage X. In trying to resolve her problem, I frequently get the message "The action could not be completed. An I/O error occurred." This happens when I try to display the items in any folder (Drafts, Deleted Items) except the Inbox. I was able to move several thousand items from the Inbox to Deleted Items, but the same error message appears when I try to empty the Deleted items folder. The nature of this problem indicates to me that it has something to do with the large number of items. Our Internet access is fine. We can get our mail server directly without any problem. The particular user of Entourage X in question does not fool around with any of the program's technical settings. The problem just arose out of the blue the other day.  - SENT items not sync with Exchange Hi there, We have a problem with one of our MAC's. (OS X 10.4.7 (Build 8K1079) and Entourage 10.3.7) When user sends e-mail to someone, the mail is sent to the recieptient and stored in Entourage in the SENT ITEMS folder. But when another user opens the same mailbox on a PC with outlook 200x or on another Mac, the mail is not found in the SENT ITEMS folder. Even with OWA the mail is not in the SENT ITEMS folder. So in the sysnc between Entourage and Exchange 2003 something goes wrong. Other folders seem to sync well. Does anyone knows what's going wrong??  - Unable to Send emails to some recipients I'm running Microsoft Office 2004 update 11.3.7 in a Mac OS X Tiger up to date 10.4.0. I've set up my email account in Entourage and I'm able to receive all my messages, I CAN send emails but not to all recipients. I can send emails with no problem to yahoo, hotmail, msn, etc accounts, but I can't send emails to my work collegues. My account is set up like this: - Incoming: pop.estrellasp.com - Outgoing: smtp.estrellasp.com via port 25 with authentication As mentioned, I do can send emais to some recipients, but not to my colegues. I configured MAIL and Thunderbird and I can send emails to everybody with no problems at all. The problem is only sending from Entourage. I've copied these files into my iMac, and now want to read them. But when Entourage opens them, no email text is shown and it starts up a window to send / append text. Ideas?  - Syncing with a reverted database Hi. I recently reverted to an older database, upon Diane Ross' recommendation, to deal with a problem in linking to my IMAP server <http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage/ browse_thread/thread/ff8eb6aa65cf3f3f/ ca45419c1ec3383e#ca45419c1ec3383e>. Now, I'm not sure what to do about syncing my out-of-date info with my Treo. Should I continue using this database, and rely on my Treo to update everything on my next sync? I'm concerned that things will sync the wrong way and that now my Treo will be "updated" with the old data. And if I set conduit settings to "Handheld overwrites Entourage", I'm worried that this will duplicate most of my data.  - Adding rules for email For years I used Outlook and recently switched to Office for Mac and Entourage. In outlook I created rules that put all my incoming emails into appropriate folders. I tried to do this in Entourage and found it confusing. Can anyone explain how to use rules both for incoming mail and to sort mail in current folders. For example, one specific concern is I also use Gmail and it sends a copy of my sent mails via pop to Entourage. I'd like to have all of these mails be placed in my "sent mail" folder.  - UNWANTED AUTO RESPONSE IN ENTOURAGE I am using Entourage 11.3.6 and in the last few days I have noticed that I keep getting messages from junk mailers to say my email to them has been returned. I am not manually responding to junk mail which goes straight into the Junk Mail folder so I don't understand why a response would have been sent. I use BT Yahoo as my ISP and I have checked my settings and there is no Auto Response switched on. Can anyone throw any light on this for me?  - Sync iCal to Entourage Then to .Mac I want to sync iCal to Entourage one time to upload my calendar history. After that, I'll be using Entourage calendar exclusively. I need to be able to sync Entourage calendar to my .Mac account to sync the calendar between two computers ... a G5 desktop and a G4 laptop. Both have OS10.4.7. Any suggestions?  - Error message 3260 in Entourage I use Entourage 2004 to keep track of my five email accounts. Yesterday, for no apparent reason, Entourage stopped allowing me to send emails through three of the accounts. The remaining two accounts function appropriately, and all of the accounts will receive mail. The error message that I receive is 3260. What should I do?  - Entourage & RapidoSMTP (setting up Postfix SMTP) Hi all, I am trying to use the RapidoSMTP usility, so that I can easily send emails when on the road and when wanting to bypass the annoying limitations of my telus.net SMTP and not being able to send emails directly from within Entourage. However, all my setups are not working, and I wonder whether it is Entourage stuff that I am missing, or something else. Setting the outgoing smtp part in the Accounts to: - localhost (trying to use the default port 25) - localhost 555 (trying to use another port) - localhost 5555 (trying a port above 1024) Nothing works, when sitting here in the local cafe and trying to send an email to myself. Am I missing something else in a setup somewhere? Format? I can connect using 'telnet localhost <any port above>' just fine.  - Weekly Calendar Print Out displays duplicate Appts When Week I tried to post this already so sorry if I repeat it.... When I set my week to begin on Mondays, and go to print my calendar, it repeats some appointments or occasions. I have noticed that a Monday entry will show up on the Wednesday prior. For instance, my parents' anniversary is on MONDAY SEPT 10TH and it shows up correctly on that date, but it also shows up on WEDNESDAY SEPT 5TH. Any suggestions? If I make the work week begin with Sunday then it solves the problem, however the the printout places fri/sat in a split box instead of sat/sun, and the Sunday appears larger like the other weekdays. I would much rather have Friday as a large box than Sunday. I have called Microsoft and they say its a known issue...and have no solution for me but suggested I post it on here.  - When I print weekly calendar some dates are repeated in the week If I set my calendar week to start with MONDAY then dates that appear on a Monday will also appear on the previous Wednesday.... For instance if I put my parents anniversary on Monday SEPT 10TH, and have it set for reoccuring annualy, when I print it in weekly view it will place the occasion on not only the 10th (where it should be) but also on SEPT 5H, the Wednesday prior. to add a hyperlink to emails so my customers can click on the link and
go directly to my website, but I am unable to figure out how to do it.
Entourage Help provides a definition of hyperlink, but not how to add
the link to email. Can someone help me out? Thanks.

If you type a link prefixed with http:// into an HTML message (Format >
HTML), Entourage will automatically encode it as a link so it should be
clickable on the receiving end as long as the receiver is using a client
that can read HTML.

In many cases, typing a URL in a plain text message (as I've done at the end
of this message) ends up being clickable on the receiving end.

If you want users to click on some other text to open a link rather than
clicking on the URL itself, you'll need a script like Paul Berkowitz's "Make
Hyperlinks" script.
