Bill is correct it is the book on file system internals, and particularily
will help you understand what the cache is doing which confuses many people
who first start doing Windows file system work. But to ensure no surprises,
you need to understand the bood was written about Windows NT4.0 so there are
things that are out of date. You will not learn about the new mini-filter
model or even the mini-rdr model from the book. Get the book but remember
it is only a starting place, if at all possible consider going to the OSR
class on file systems.
