I have a similiar problem to many other users of this group.
My win2003 server has been working for along time. The other day when I
rebooted, it hung at the starting windows screen.
Booting in safe mode it hangs at the drvmain.sdb file.
The only option I can boot up in is:
Directory services restore mode(Safe mode)
From here i tried doing an upgrade of win2003 but that requires a re-boot
which I can't do.
I tried re-installing win2003 by booting from the CD but the install hangs
at the setting up windows portion.
I have tried all the suggestions in these news groups and nothing works.
I think if there is an OS guru out there that knows enough about how the OS
works I can get this fixed without a re-install.
Can anybody help.
