Hi,

This newsgroup is listed at
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/aa974230.aspx as "managed".
The MSDN subscription terms promise an answer from Microsoft within two
business days if a question was asked in a managed newsgroup using a
registered alias. I see some attempts by apparently Microsoft's employees to
answer questions at other managed newsgroups, like
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.csharp/browse_frm/thread/b478be458ad64061/90807618033bfbd5?lnk=st&q=muriwai+group%3Amicrosoft.public.dotnet.languages.csharp&rnum=2&hl=en#90807618033bfbd5.
This does not seems to be the case here. I am just curious.

Thanks

You have to be a managed customer to be able to get answers in managed
newsgroup from product support services group (PSS). I moved out of PSS long
time ago but I remember we used a special tool to browse newsgroup that only
showed postings made by managed customers. It was a pilot program then - 5
years ago. I don't know what their current policies are.

It certainly has been the case in the past e.g. last year, though lately I
have felt that replies are not always as forthcoming as they have been
previously. Maybe your questions are too difficult even for Microsoft? (in
particular, we hardly ever get responses to questions regarding BDA......)

As far as I can tell, the MS contributors who have been answering questions
in this group are all volunteers, doing this in their spare time, out of the
goodness of their hearts. MSDN may have declared this a managed news group
with a two-day response time, but there doesn't seem to be any MSDN staffing
to actually make that happen.

I'm sure the volunteers would appreciate an occasional "thank you."
