I am interesting in finding out how can i write a sniffer
about the data beeing exchanged in an IR port during file
tranfer. Can anyone help?

I've never used this tool myself, so I'm not sure it will help -- but I
wanted to make sure you were aware of the tool sniffer.exe that's in the
tools\irda folder of the DDK. Pls let us know if this resolves your issue.

Hi Bryan ,
I have tried the tools and it didnt work. Actually it
monitors a IR deviece that send signals though an a
windows COM port. Indeed when I connected my devices a new
port existed (COM14). I tries to have sniffir to monitor
this port but it replied that it couldnt even open the
COM14. Any suggestions

(PS. the cofniguration is 2 IR adapters on the same
machine, the first IR adapter look directly to a cell
phone equiped with IR and the second IR adapter can look
at both of them forming a triangle)
