I'm being a bit cryptic here -- deliberately.

But, readers of marginal notes should be advised that the prize (such as
it is) is ready to be won.

Much less tantalizing, actually.

Regular readers of wd-3 may have noticed that the small print at the
bottom of the home page usually contains some whimsical material in
addition to legal notices. The current issue advises that we were, at
the time of publication, nearing the 1,000 mark for subscribers. That
event has now occurred, and the winner been notified.

For forum readers who didn't already know, www.wd-3.com is an
independent and noncommercial newsletter about Windows driver
development. Its editors and contributors include many of the people who
are active here in answering questions. We welcome articles from others,
too. Subscribers get e-mail when we publish a new issue, usually every
calendar quarter, and are guaranteed not to get any other e-mail from
us.
