Could you provide more details on how you are installing the driver for the
scanner? Is the scanner installed using an INF file? Is the problem that
the driver will not install, or that applications are expecting it to be a
specific device type? Is any software able to use the scanner? IE: can
you scan from Microsoft applications such as Word, Publisher, Picture It!,
or from other 3rd party image applications?
Do you happen to know if the associated applications are using TWAIN, WIA,
or another mode to access the scanner?
