Hi,

I wonder if anybody answer the following questiion I have regarding USB
Remote Wake:

On a laptop I recently procured (a Dell Precision M4300) I enabled "USB Wake
Support" in the BIOS which was turned off by default. Now, the Windows XP
Pro (SP2) I installed *prior* to enabling "USB Wake Support" in the BIOS
does not have the entry "USBBIOSx"=DWORD:00000000 under
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\usb' (in fact
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\usb' doesn't exist at
all). So (from a driver I have developed) would I be able to issue a
Wait/Wake against a device I was about to put into D2, and have the
Wait/Wake complete when a Remote Wake activated the device? Note that the
device in question is capable of signalling a Remote Wake, and the system
will remain in an S0 state.

Thanks in advance for your help

Pete

Try to awaken the computer by USB mouse click. Will this work?
