Hello,
Anyone doing NVR? I wonder what is the basic principle. There
are hell NVRs from different vendors that accept MPEG-4 stream, but
interesting part is that these NVRs will just work with IP cameras
from same vendor. Although those IP cameras also provide MPEG-4
stream.

If cam and nvr is using same (MPEG-4) streaming then why we can't have
interoperability ?

cheers,
ali

One stumbling block is that IP cameras and tuners often require some kind
of log in sequence. I'm surprised at how many of them require proprietary
software in the path.

Yup you right, they do need kind of log to track.

On the other side the problem is

On the other side the problem is

people marking their products with MPEG-4 really do their own kind of
stuff under the hood. maybe, because standard it self it quite diverse
and complex.
