How to connect physical devices and logical disks?

More exactly. We have hardware storage devices disks, CDs, connected via =
IDE, USB etc. There are enumerated in ..\CurrentControlSet\Services\... =
and ..\CurrentControlSet\Enum and defined by HardwareID.

On other side we have logical devices: "C:", "D:", "E:"=85, which also =
are referenced by appropriate symbolic link \Device\HarddiskVolumeX" =
or the same for CDs...

How to define which hardware disk supports logical disks or which =
logical disk is placed on which physical: HardwareID <=3D> "C:", "D:"... =
?

Thanks,

MichaelG

Mapping volumes to physical disks is covered in my article here:
