    - Configuration file issue How can I make my application to expect config file under â??C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MyApplicationâ?? folder rather install folder. My app performs read/write operation on application configuration file that gets installed under application folder (c:\program files\My Application). It works alright on XP, but as soon as I run it on VISTA machine, I start hitting virtualization & UAC issues. How can make my app run under VISTA? Can I move the config file under â??C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Dataâ?? folder?     - Problem creating an BitmapSource from an HBitmap in threaded code I am building a high-performance multi-threaded application. I am making the following call in the code to convert a rasterized bitmap to a bitmap source.     - Localization of custom DLLs. Hi. I am developing a DLL that will be used by localizable applications. The code of this DLL has some text that is send to the client applications. I am creating some resource files for this DLL and when I compile it, VS.NET creates a bunch of resource.dll files for the project one for each language I need to support. So, when I distribute this DLL to my developers, will I have to distribute those resource.dll files as well? Is there any way to encapsulate all of them inside a single dll?     - WPF ListView focus problem. Hi everyone! I have some strange behavior of ListView control in WPF. We are developing application in C#. I created ListView with some items and set SelectedIndex to some index in the middle of its list. Then I clicked mouse at any place on the ListView and then navigate with Up/Dows keyboard keys, everything works perfectly. But If I move focus to another control and then tries to set focus back to ListView control programmatically, then I'm getting the problem. The ListView gets the focus, but when Iâ??m trying to navigate with the keyboard, current selection will be canceled and the first item will be selected and navigation will start from the first item in list. I'm setting focus to ListView control by calling to its .Focus() method. It looks like even ListView control in focus, but no items actually in focus, even if SelectedIndex has some valid values. I'm VERY new to this (sorry), and can't figure out how to be able to pull the values from the listbox now (if they get copied over in the first place. If I try to query for the selectedValue, I just get the user name (selected text.) Any hints as to what I'm doing wrong are GREATLY appreciated.     - What is the installer for Net? I have a Toshiba Satellite purchased in 2004 with Windows XP Professional. It came with an Atheros 802.11 super G installed. It has been working fine out of the box until around August of 2007. At that time it began to show the following behavior. On boot, it would display found new device, then a "device error" window with the following message. "Windows could not load the installer for Net. Contact your hardware vendor." This error also occurs when trying to install AOL, or USB wireless adapters, or one in the side slot. Can anyone explain what Windows is looking for and how to fix the problem.     - ADO.Net / Multiple SQL Statements in One Command I'm writing an application to assist in the deployment of some complex database schema out of a working DDL script that has already been generated. We're targeting SQL 2000 and 2005, and the script runs fine now inside Query Analyzer / Management Studio. It's *long* though, and creates thousands of objects (stored procs, tables, views) and hundreds of rows of pre-populated data (just lots of inserts after the tables are created). Is there a way I can run this giant script using System.Data.SqlClient? I attempted a simple example and SqlConnection and SqlCommand choke on anything with "GO" in it since it's not actually T-SQL. Am I really going to have to try to intelligently divide this file up by "GO" statements into individual SQL commands and run them individually or is there some other way to execute batch statements?     - TextBox4_ChangedText Hello. Using XP Pro w/SP4 and VS 2003. Is it normal for this procedure to run before I have even seen the Form1? I can write code to work-around this. I believe that what it is doing is as soon as TextBox4 is initialized, it is detecting the text in the TextBox4.Text property (which is TextBox4) as a changed text so it runs the TextBox4_ChangedText proceedure.     - CreateProcessWithLogonW Hello Everyone, I have a C# component that is referenced by a VB6 standard executable. The C# component has a method LaunchProcess that subsequently makes an API call to CreateProcessWithLogonW in the advapi32 library. This is used to shell open an external application such as Excel or Word with alternate credentials than the logged in user. I am encountering an issue where Excel and Word are initialized and show up as processes for the impersonated user, but I am unable to interact with the document. This only occurs in my target application, my stripped down test application behaves as expected. I am hoping someone has an idea of where to look. The calls are identical, and only the target application has more bells and whistles on it. I apologize if this post is rather large; I just wanted you all to have as much information you needed. Again, this logic all works from a simple VB6 application (Form1, Button1_Click) and is giving me fits in the main application. The main application has timers and back end processing going at the same time. I figured having the document opened asynchronously would be my redemption. The functionality is new to the old VB6 application and new features are implemented in .Net until everything is in .Net. I am fairly confident that .Net is not my issue here. But who knows after spending three days solid on this, I am not sure that I even have the correct API signature anymore.     - WPF - Binding IsEnabled property doesnt evaluate until DataContext I have a "Save Changes" button on the form. I'm binding its IsEnabled property to a property of the object that I'm dealing with. When I connect the panel the buttons are in with an object (set the DataContext when the user selects an object from a list), the buttons correctly evaluate. When I tweak the property in the object, the notification is correctly evaluated and the button's state changes as expected. When I first load the form, however, the button is enabled. Setting the DataContext to null on window load doesn't do the trick. Is there a way around this, or do I need to set the property to Disabled and then use a data trigger to flip it when the property goes positive?     - Blank screen or just background showing upon login Hi, I have ans issue with xp i think. I just built a pc and installed xp. Well a couple days after i installed xp i started having this issue. If i reboot my pc i get all the way to the login screen, after i type in my password and hit enter i see the mouse cursor and can move it but i have nothing else. No taskbar desktop icons or anything. If i hit ctrl alt del it will bring up the task manager after a few minutes, sometimes explorer.exe will be running other times it will not be. If I build a sequence of elements via LINQ to drive the enumeration, as soon as I remove the first element the enumeration operation is broken. This surprises me.     - Exception stack is corrupt when catching and storing the exception i have som code that does e number of operatoins, if any exception occurs during the execution path, the exception is stored in a list, and in another place, the errors are logged. for example, method a calls b, that calls c. c throws an exception, that b stores. When using the exception.ToString(), only method b and c appears in the stack trace. Sine the method is called from several locations, i cannot find the execution paths without attaching a debugger. Is this a feature/bug in the framework.     - Major Performance Bug in DataTable? I came across this disturbing problem. The code adds 10000 rows to a DataTable and then changes the value of one field on each row. It should be super fast right? Now, if you make either of the following changes it will take less than 1/100th second to complete. You only do one of the 3 to see a difference. 1) Comment out table.Columns[0].AllowDBNull = false 2) Comment out table.BeginLoadData and table.EndLoadData 3) Change row["Value"] = 3.14 to row["Value"] = 3 Can someone else confirm this bug?     - Where is ObservableCollection??? I'm stumped. I'm working with the 3.5 runtime in VS 2008. I've added "using System.Collections.ObjectModel". ObservableCollection is not known. In fact, if I type "System.Collection.ObjectModel." the intellisense only lists Collection<>, ReadOnlyCollection<> and KeyedCollection<>. In the object browser, I find ObservableCollection under "WindowsBase", and it's listed as ObservableCollection. How can I make use of this class so I can bind a WPF element to my custom Object? I have a config file (MyApp.exe.config) that I need to deploy only the first time the app is installed in a particular location. That is the file should not be overwritten if a new version of the app is installed in the same location. I know how to deploy the file but how do I prevent overwrite?     - To Reference Interop.XXX.dll or XXX.dll I am trying to find something definitive on whether, for a COM DLL (we'll call it XXX.dll) that I want to use in C#, I should reference the COM DLL and let the IDE create the Interop.XXX.dll file, or create it the Interop.XXX.dll myself and reference ONLY the Interop.XXX.dll in the project and NOT the XXX.dll. All I have read so far (the last 7 years working with .NET), and all I can find now says to do what I have been doing, just referencing XXX.dll and let the IDE build the Interop.XXX.dll. The data for each comes from different sources (files, database, webservice) and is in the form of a List(Of x). when I try to download, I get the error code. I had a new video card, put

I'm trying to open an e-mail that is supported by my media player but is
still comming up with error code COOD1199. file type supported is .wmv how
can I open these e-mails?
