Thanks Brink for the quick respond, I did download the reg and followed the
instruction and restarted now it says its on but you need to restart and
manually there is no listing in polices>system. So I just restarted to see
and its on again, something must be turning it on, this just started about a
week ago

Leave UAC on and use this.

<http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/vista/vista_administrator_activate.htm#Summary_of_Vista_Administrator_-_Super_User_(Hidden_Account)>

The next time, you should post to ms.public.windows.vista.general or
security, as this is a .Net programmer's NG.

sorry, for posting the wrong place but it was found and answered, I don't
want UAC on at all, I have enough security in place, I just need it off and
to stay off, I don't have a standard user, only a administrative user and I'm
the only user using vista home premium, I don't think it has Local Policy,
Security Options. I don't have a password logon

There is no such thing as enough security in place, not on the workstation
with the Windows O/S in the home user's hand.

Your welcome Ronnell

You might try just elevating administrator accounts so they are no
bugged by UAC instead since you cannot seem to get UAC to stay off. Thi
tutorial will show you how to. Hopefully it will stick for you.
