newsgroup topic: something's changed

hey all,
this is a little off-topic but wasn't sure where to post, but when i go to
the newsgroups i used to see just the newsgroup topics on the left but now
when i go to my same bookmark it's showing all the coutries on the left?

Given that many of us aren't using Microsoft's web portal for this
newsgroup (or any other), I'd say your question is _way_ off topic. :)

I suspect that Microsoft has a contact link somewhere on their web site
that provides for asking questions like that. You'll probably get a
better, more specific answer by contacting them directly. It's doubtful
that anyone reading your question here has any first-hand insight as to
the workings of the web portal.
