Just installed 1.0 and can't seem to locate the Product
Catalog anywhere. Help doc says:

a. On the Home page, click the Settings side tab.
b. On the Settings page, click Product Catalog and then
click Products.

I see lots of other Settings categories (e.g. Business
Unit Settings, Template Manager), but there's no "Product
Catalog"!

Help appreciated!

Thanks,
Robert

Robert,

To modify the product catalog, you actually need a license assigned to the
user that has access to the catalog. You can modify everything else via the
front-end w/o a license, but you cann't do the catalog.

Matt,

Thanks for your reply, but not sure I understand.

I've enabled a 5-user license key using the License
Manager and created 3 users. When I lookup my own user id
in the User Manager under my company name, it shows an
entry for my User Name, Roles, and Licenses="Standard
Suite".

Is there some additional licensing that is required for
the Product Catalog?

Robert,

The product catalog is only available if you have a Professional level
license, it isn't available for Standard.

I too was missing the product catalog. Apparently you need to have
integration turned on in order for this to work. You can find this by
editing the web.config file in the root on your website folder. Edit the
line:

<add key="ISVIntegration" value="Off"/>

and change "Off" to "On".

Also you have to make sure that if you do any outside customization that
relies on the SDK, you have to have to Microsoft.CRM.Proxy.Dll in the /bin
folder on the server. I'm not sure if the product catalog makes any use of
this or not. This DLL is available on the installation CD.
