When click ing certain areas of crm 3.0 we are getting 401 unauthorized error
in
home_reports.aspx
systemsettings.aspx

the user account has full privledges in all rolls on crm, the server is 2k3
with sharepoint portal 2k3 installed.
Any ideas? I can offer the debug informatin if it is needed.

Thank You,
Chase Dafnis

Go to Deployment Manager and expand the "Server Manager" node. Right click
your CRM server and choose "Specify URL For Reporting Services." Note the URL
listed. Try opening a browser and browing to that URL. If you are unable to
get to that URL, then you will probably need to make DNS/host header changes
and/or change the URL for reporting services.

Ahhhh let me show you what I have learned. The URL does work. I can access it
and run a generic report such as User Summary. I am able to access the site
and run the user summary from a computer on a domain. When using a computer
not on the domain is when, I can login to the ReportServer url, but when I
click on the User Summary link, I get this error message "The property
â??nullableâ?? of report parameter â??CRM_Localeâ?? is set to false. However, the
corresponding parameter (default) value is null or contains an empty string.
(rsProcessingError) Get Online Help " So now I believe that everything works
fine except for if the computer I am on is on the domain or not. Typically I
will be offsite using the CRM software so I would hate to have this error
since the computers I deal with will not be on the Domain. Well thanks to you
I believe we are nearly at the source of the problem, now it is a matter of
figuring out how to solve it.

I see. Yes, without being on the domain, you will need to publish CRM out to
the web so you can access it from other domains, but you will have to
authenticate through IIS to get to the CRM website.
