I can access the web version of this CRM but I get "You do
not have sufficient Microsoft CRM privileges to run the
Workflow Manager. For more information, contact your
system administrator."
Well, I am the system administrator and I am logged in as
the system administrator with full SQL and directory
privileges... This happends on all the utilities exept the
deployment manager. Sometimes I get an error stating theat
the CRM server can not be found.
If no one knows the answer, is there another good CRM that
uses the web and Outlook as the client? I want a unified
place for everything, email, leads, etc.

Hi Dean, have you granted your administrator account a CRM License?

Thank you for your help.
Yes, I get this error. "User 1 ( *my user name* ) failed :
This user already exists in the system. Try creating a
different user."
However, I made a new user, gave it sys admin and gave it
a license. If I log into that account, I can run the CRM
programs. Go figure!

One more quick question... I believe CRM 1.2 can integrate
between Exchange server and the clients can use Outlook to
access all the CRM functions. Am I correct? If this CRM
can work with Exchange and Outlook, where can I read about
how to do it?
Thank you in advance.

The integration is the same in V1.2 as it is in V1.0 ie
the Exchange router will keep track of all the MSCRM
relevant email based on the unique GUI id placed in the
Subject line. Not all functions from the Web client is
available in the Outlook client and visa versa.

Dean,

When you install CRM, the user you are currently logged in as is
automatically added as a user in CRM. However, it is NOT assigned a
license. If you go into the web app and into the system settings, you
should be able to find this user in the root business unit and then
assign it a license and appropriate roles (though it should alread
have sys admin).

Try this:

1. Go to Start | Programs | Administrative Tools |
Services and make sure the Remote Registry Service is
started.
*** I know that we have talked about this, but I included
it anyways***

2. Open an Internet Explorer session on the Microsoft
CRM server and type the following URL:
http://crm server name/MSCRMServices/bizuser.srf (This
URL should return some XML code.)

3. Open an Internet Explorer session on the Microsoft
CRM server and type the following URL:
http://crm server name/MSCRMServices/bizusersdl.srf (This
should also return some XML code.)

4. If Steps 2 and 3 DO return XML code, skip ahead to
Step 14. If Steps 2 and 3 do NOT return XML code, please
continue with Steps 5 through 14.

5. Go to your Microsoft CRM server and navigate to Start
| Programs | Administrative Tools | Internet Information
Services.

6. Expand Server name | Microsoft CRM Version 1.0 |
MSCRMServices | Right-click Properties.

7. Go to the configuration button at the bottom of the
MSCRMServices properties window. Select App mapping and
scroll to the bottom. You will find an extension
called .srf. This should be pathed out to system drive
| Program Files | Microsoft CRM | server | bin |
CRMISAPI.dll.

8. If the mapping is missing, click on Add. In the
executable text box, browse to the path system drive |
Program Files | Microsoft CRM Server | bin |
CRMISAPI.dll. Enter .srf in the extension box.

9. Navigate to Start | Run | type REGSVC32. Enter the
path system drive | Program Files | Microsoft CRM Server
| bin | CRMISAPI.dll to re-register the dll.

10. Go to the configuration button at the bottom of the
MSCRMServices properties window. Select App mapping and
scroll to the bottom. You will find an extension
called .soap. Verify that it is pathed out to system
drive | system root (usually WINNT) | Microsoft.NET |
Framework | V1.0.3705 | ASPNET_ISAPI.dll.
*** the folder name will differ with .NET V1.1, but the
steps still applies***

11. If the mapping is missing, click on Add. In the
executable text box, browse to the path system drive |
system root (usually WINNT) | Microsoft.NET | Framework |
V1.0.3705 | ASPNET_ISAPI.dll and enter .soap in the
extension box.

12. Open Start | Run | type REGSVC32. Enter the
path "system drive | system root (usually WINNT) |
Microsoft.NET | Framework | V1.0.3705 | ASPNET_ISAPI.dll"
to re-register the dll.

13. Restart IIS and follow steps 2 and 3 to verify that
you are receiving XML code.

14. Retry installing the Microsoft CRM Exchange Email
Router.
