Hi,

The CRM toolbar in outlook does not repond at all, if i click on any of the
buttons they do nothing. The buttons seem to be working but nothing happens
once you have clicked them, however when I view the CRM offline data in the
tree view it appears fine.

This occurred after i went offline, and now i cannot get back online. I am
using Windows XP and Office 2003 Professional.

Any response would be great.

Marc

first thing to try is...

close outlook
run task manager
select processes tab
end process "microsoft.crm.application.hoster.exe"
re run outlook!

any joy with that?

Hi Ian,

I have tried that and it did not work, i have also tried restarting msde and
IIS and enabling and disabling the plugin in Outlook.

Nothing has worked.

When you click the buttons on the toolbar they do nothing.

Check to make sure the AddIn itself is not disabled. In Outlook, go to Help
> About Microsoft Office Outlook, Disabled Items.
Delete the toolbar. Right click on the toolbars, choose Customize, click
the CRM toolbar and click Delete. Close and re-open Outlook. The toolbar
should reappear and work correctly provided nothing is going wrong on the
back end.

If the toolbard does not reappear, re-add the AddIn. In Outlook, go to
Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options > COM AddIns. Click Add and
navigate to c:\program files\microsoft crm\client\bin and double click
crmaddin.dll.

If none of those work, attempt a repair of the Outlook client.

I don't know if it ever helped him, but it sure saved my bacon. I had a user
experiencing the same problem and had already tried killing the application
hoster task and removing and re-adding the com add-in. I had even removed
the toolbar from the display. But your suggestion to delete the toolbar and
let Outlook put it back is what finally took care of my user's problem.

Thanks for posting.

Marc, just wondering the outcome? I'm having the same issue, did you find a
solution? Thanks for the comments!
