Microsoft worflow keeps crashing and before it does I always get the
following error in event viewer :

Workflow services keeps stopping
Hi,
I have CRM installed on different servers and on one of the server the
MSCRMWorkflowService keeps crashing. Just before it crashed I get this

Hello all
I was wondering if it is possible to change the Reporting Services Server
that I used during the CRM installation. When I installed it, I used
http://localhost/reportserver and now I want to change it to

New Computer Synchronization
Good morning. I have a CRM client who had a desktop and I just gave her a
new laptop. I loaded CRM on the laptop and received a message saying that I
need to set the computer to be the synchronizing client for this user.
However, when I go into her personalize workplace, there's no synchronization
tab. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Authentication Error When Working Offline With CRM
We have a user that will receive an Authentication Error when working Offline
with the CRM Client. It's the same error that appears when you try and
access CRM with a disabled or non-existent account. When the users Goes
Online with CRM everything works fine.
It sounds like it happens when the user is browsing the CRM folders and
starts switching between folders then it will appear. Hitting Try Again a
few times eventually brings the page up but then the error comes back soon
after.
IE is setup ok, no kerberos errors nothing out of the ordinary. I had
turned on tracing and it did report a SQLTimeout Error. The user is running
SQLExpress with the CRM V3C client with all patches applied.
Is it possible to increase the connection timeout period on the local
client? Maybe this would solve the problem. Tag: test Tag: 85584
Changing a User's Business Unit
From a user record I go to Actions - Change Business Unit and then select the
BU that I want to move the user to. After clicking OK, I get a message
saying:
"You do not have enough privileges to access the Microsoft CRM object or
perform the requested operation."
I have been given full access to everything, so I don't know why I can't
change it.
I also tried moving another user who is no longer with the company. Their
record is still active, but is never logged on as another user. This caused
some problems as my system froze and no one in the organization was able to

Server B - SQL Server 2005
I want to install CRM 3.0 Professional on Server B (and I think this is
possible...) but Email Router must be installed on Exchange machine...
My Exchange machine is a SBS...is it possible to install only email router
as a separate component ? and on a SBS machine ?

Removing a quote, promoted to order
I have a quote with was promoted/converted to an order.
The order has been deleted, the quote still exists.
Upon deleting the (greyed out) quote I get a crm error stating
that either I have to access to the object or not enough privileges
to perform the action. I'm CRM admin, what is wrong?

URGENT!! Bulk Import - Account with Address (More Addresses)
Hi,
I am trying to do bulk import of a list of accounts which also have
"shipping address" along with the Primary address.
I used Bulk import tool in the CRM 3.0 and did mapping with "Primary
address" with " Address 1" fields and Shipping Address" to "Address 2
fields". But after the import i find that Primary address available in the
General screen of the Account but "Address 2" fields mapped should appear in
"More Addresses" section which it didnt appear.
I checked with the database table customerAddressbase to find both the
address (Primary and Shipping) available in the table with all require
information but shipping address not appearing. May I know which fields
should I map with to display the address in "More Addresses" section?? Plz
help as its quite urgent

CRM Report: Problem with "Jump To URL"
Hi,
I use the report in a CRM Application. In a textbox I want an hyperlink
and in the Texbox Properties --> Navigation --> Jump to URL option
i include something like this:

but don't open a link in a new window. I click on the link and it doesn't work
The identic HTML Code in a .html page work and open a new window but don't

CRM Exchange Router
Hi,
We have setup 2007 Exchange Server in our office, and still have a 2003
Exchange server, I have downloaded the updated CRM Exchange router that
supports 2007 exchange enviroment and kept the crm mailbox on the 2003
server. All other mailboxes are now on 2007. Since this upgrade we are now
unable to get any emails into our CRM queues. We have also carried out the
Rollup 2 Update on the CRM server.
If i look into the crm mailbox through outlook, i can see the email arrive
at the inbox, it then trys to deliver it to CRM Queue, but is unable to and
bounces back into a folder within the crm mailbox called undeliverable. An
event log is also recorded as failed.
If anybody has any suggestions I would appreciate your help. I feel like I
have tried everything possible.

Incoming Email Routing
We have MSCRM 3.0 set up on one server and MS Exchange 2003 and CRM Router
installed on a second server.
Outgoing emails from CRM work fine nbut when a client responds to an email
it goes into the agents personal Outlook inbox, is forwarded to the CRMMAil
mailbox but does not appear in CRM.
Can you confirm that it should appear in the Contacts History or if not
where it should appear?

Problem with tracking CRM email
Tracking email from Outlook into CRM is not working for some reason.
- The Exchange server was moved from the CRM server to another server.
- The Exchange connector was installed on the new Exchange server. CRM
mailbox for forwarding it configured.
- I have reconfigured the CRM SMTP settings and CRM is sending out email.
- When a user clicks Track in CRM, the email does not go into CRM.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Queues-Need to add Columns To View Email
By default our CRM Queues are able to view Title-Entered Queue-Type. I need
to be able to add other columns to help sort through these emails. I would

Problem with associated view form - CRM
We have created two custom entities with a relationship to account.
The associated view form for these custom entities does not seem to be
populating the accountid attribute - therefore not recognizing that a
record has even been selected from the list in the associated view
form. Other custom entities that we have created with a similar
relationship to account do not have this problem. We can't see any
differences between how we have defined the custom entities and
associated view forms between the ones that populate the accountid and

Hotfix workaround (KB 911022) Unbelievable...
I was hoping that rollup2 was going to address the crazy workaround for KB
911022 (restricting users from printing/exporting data) but it hasn't. Is
anyone as up in arms as I am about this?
In case you aren't familiar with this KB, it provides a way (whether you
want it or not) to restrict user's ability to print or export certain data
they see in a report. Their solution? ...create an alternate DB, copy your
db (minus the things you want exported) over to this alternate DB, then
change a registry entry. The end user can easily change a record, and want
to print out or export a listing, but that won't be updated until this
"alternate DB" is replicated from the original CRM database. 30 minutes, 10
minutes, 1 minutes, or whatever you are willing to sacrafice for time in
between replication is apparently the only way to go.
If I am way off base in my anger about this one, or if I have misunderstood
this KB from the get-go, please feel free to correct me.

Outlook's CRM Email (Category / Sub Category)
We are in the process of moving from 1.2 to 3.0 and I've noticed a great
discrepancy between the two versions when it comes to the Outlook
integration. Previously the form for creating a new CRM email would be the
same web form that was used by the web interface, which included among other
things the category and sub category. Every one of our emails has a category,
in fact we had to manually adjust the aspx file on every client because the
subjects come from a pick list.

possible to send an e-mail using the e-mail activity. The "to" field is not

Searchable setting on attribute form vs. xml
I need to remove +/- 50 attributes from available fields in Advanced
Find for an entity. No problem, open the customization form for the
entity, select each attribute and change "Searchable" to No. Oh wait,
I have to do this for 50 attributes and I want to go home sometime
today. No problem: export the xml for the entity, remove the
"ValidForAdvancedFind" value from the "DisplayMask" element of each
desired attribute, save the entity xml and re-import back into CRM.
Wait a minute; every attribute that was altered in the just-imported
xml file still has "Searchable" set to Yes. In fact if I re-export the
xml for the entity, all the ValidForAdvancedFind instances I removed
are back... grrr.
Is this behavior by design or an anomaly I am experiencing? Has anyone
else been able to remove attributes from Advanced Find by editing and
re-importing the entity xml? Changing the Searchable setting to No
works, but I seriously don't want to go through each one (the test
server is *slow*). I have service rollup 1 installed... haven't gotten
around to rollup 2.
If the answer is no, at least I will know. The bummer is that if
importing the modified xml doesn't work, I will have to repeat the
manual process for each attribute on the production server after

One shortcoming for us with regard to CustomerRelationships is the inability
to specify start and end dates for a relationship. It's been proposed that we
create a custom entity to replace out-of-box CustomerRelationships, but if

Assigning a default value to a lookup.
I have a client that only has one unit of measure (Each) and would like to
have this value set at default when creating new quote and opportunity
products. I spent some time looking into this and have not determined how to
control lookups at all except clearing them.

CRM sluggish
hi,
We are running on a hi spec server with 4GB ram on SBS2003.
Our MSCRM with C360 pluging with around 10 users are feeling sluggish.
Are there any hotfixes to resolve this slowness.
Example, it will take few seconds to open a case, another 5 secs to double
click on an email etc.

Long term scheduling big jobs
I have setup users work hours to be 9-6 mon-fri. Now MS Dynamics CRM 3.0
will not schedule a
service that is longer than 9 hours as it cannot fit contiguously in an
user's calendar. I have jobs that last more than 8 hours, and I would like
CRM to fit these in an user's calendar non-contiguously (skipping weekends,
night time, etc). I dont want to have to schedule a big job 1 day at a time.

crm database replication
I've been thinking about improving our CRM backup policy and one thought I
had was that SQL replication would work very nicely to considerbaly reduce
time taken to restore things should something break.
I.e. If the sql server goes down, the CRM can be (with a reinstall I
believe) pointed to the replicated SQL server, thus reducing downtime and
providing another backup (on top of a standard backup of course).
The questions are, is it safe to replicate the crm databases (as I see that
a new column will be added to replicated tables)?, and are there any pitfalls
to this idea?

problem. We had this problem and spent a *very* long time searching
for fixes and eventually cam across this:
