Hi Everyone: I am having some problems with the SFO
client.
Situation: I have a machine that is not joined to the
domain. The machine is updated accordingly with all of
the latest SP's. At this point it is joined to the
domain. Now, at this point there are 2 different
profiles. The one for the local machine and then the one
for the domain. All of my outlook is on the local
machine. I proceed to log onto the domain and then my
outlook does the new installation as it should. Here is
my BIG situation: This machine is a travelling machine
is rarely in the office. There might be points that this
machine does not have an internet connection, say the
sales person is on the plane. At this point the person
is forced to log onto the local machine as the domain is
not accessible. When there is a internet connection,
everything is fine and the user is able to log on, but it
is the situation that they have to log onto the local
machine. Is there anyway around this? Basically, though
what is the use of the offline/online if they can only
user the domain? Has anyone come across this? If not
how are you using this to accomidate your users? Any
insite would be greatly appreciated. I haven't gotten a
installation to work while logged onto the local machine.
thanks in advance:
Nic
