Ramon,

If you turn on the Developer Errors in the web.config file on the CRM folder
in IIS, you can get a more specific message.

This may help you pinpoint it. If you can't figure it out, paste it in here.

Ramon,

I would have expected more info from the event log. Could there be another
entry in there from the same time? Sometimes there will be multiple entries.

Also, check in the registry on the CRM server, there will be an entry under
local machine\software\microsoft\mscrm that contain the mailserverurl. Try
browsing to this url from a IE session on the CRM server and see what happens.

If you haven't already done so, try to reinstall the Exchange Adapter and see
if that helps.

Re: Can not send e-mails from CRM web interfacer by Matt

Ramon,

Matt Parks
MVP - Microsoft CRM
Ramon,

The 401 is the true error here. It seems odd that the URL would have been
entered that incorrectly by the setup. When you installed the router, you were
actually installing it on the Exchange server, correct? I would think the
install would fail if you didn't put it ton the Exchange server, but it seems
like you actually installed it on the CRM server, which is why that was in the
URL.

On you Exchange server, check to see if the MSCRMConnector virtual directory was
created. Also check to see if it allows Anonymous access.

Re: Can not send e-mails from CRM web interfacer by Fanda

Fanda
Wed Feb 23 05:07:04 CST 2005

HELLO, I have the same troubles as a Ramon, but when I check my registry key
I see the correct address to exchange server /name in upper case/. When I put
this addres to browser, IE create message "the page cannot be displayed" Any
idea please?
I have second question too - There is a check box on exchange server and crm
server in IIS - web sites - MSCRM - properties - dir. structure - auth. and
access control - "enable anonymous access". It must be enabled or disabled??
Thank you
