Hi,

In our CRM we have a lot of contacts (8000) and we send a lot of emails with
attachments to groups of 20 - 100 contacts.
But we don't find a practical and flexibel solution to send the email. Her
is an overview of the possibilities and the problem we have with them:

1. Through Outlook "CRM email" button ?
We have to select the recipients with the "To" button. To be able to select
the contacts we can import all CRM contacts in the mailbox contacts folder
with synchronization. Our problem here is:
- we see a list of 8000 contacts, and it is not practical to look in this
huge list and select eg 20 contacts (and there could be contacts with the
same name, that belong to different accounts)

- we can't group the contacts by the opportunity or account they belong to
make the selection easier

- after selecting the contact in the "To" field, we also havre to select
them in the "regarding field"

2. Through email in Outlook client Webinterface

- This is a mail merge through Word (or email merge). You can only send a
Word document, but not add any additional attachments

3. Through Web interface - email

- When selecting multiple contacts to send mail, then you can only use a
template to send email. The mail can't be customized and we can't add an
attachment. We can only send a standard email like the template

4. Through Web interface - direct email
- This method seems to be OK, but it seems that you can only send to one
contact

I'm searching for a flexible solution or add-on for the email problem.

Thanks

Dirk

are the groups consistant? For instance you could add a drop down picklist
to the contact record and have entries for each group ie group1 group2 etc.

you then assign each contact to one of these groups.

you then create contact views for each group. Now you can simply choose a
contact view. click the top checkbox to select them all and then send direct
mail

Hi John

The problem with direct emailis that you only can send templates. You cannot
change the text or add an attachment
