    - Outlook email promotion to CRM email activity and tracking. Our system is working very well. The only issue we are now running into is that when in Outlook with the SFO tool bar running and an email needs to be promoted to CRM Activity for tracking. WHen we hit the promote button it takes a long time (20-40 seconds) to promote and open the window to track in CRM. ANy ideas what slows this down and how to speed it up. I know it should take a little time but we would like to get it into the 2-5 seconds range. User adoption would be better. Also one other issue: I have an email I have promoted and it is tracking in CRM activity history. WHen I reply to this why is that not tracked automatically?     - SBS 2003 with SP1 and CRM v1.2 restore Hello, I am trying to run a restore on a lab server in preparation for reinstalling CRM in our production environment. We have an SBS 2003 Premium box without ISA installed and with SBS SP1 and SQL SP4 installed. I would like to know if anyone has tried to do a "ground-up" restore in a situation like this. Also the production hardware is significantly different than the lab server (dual-processor Xenon/SCSI RAID-1(produc) vs P4/IDE(lab)). Any help would be greatly appreciated.     - Server Error in '\' Application I mayhave "fubar"ed by CRM 1.2 installation. I am installed on Windows 2003 server with Exchange 2003. I had CRM up an running and was looking at with my sales folks putting together a customization and rollout plan. I added some business units subservent to our "root" organinzation and was assigning users to these units and adding managers. I then assigned the user (me) who is the only system admin. At that point I started getting a dialog in the web interface giving an "authorization error" message (unforunately I didn't write down the exact text). I thought my only option at that point would be to restore the databases. I used the disaster recovery scenario "Scenario A:Failure of SQL Server" to restore all four databases. Now whenever I use the web interface to start get into CRM, I get the message "Server Error in '/' application". Since it was running before this "self-inflicted wound", I don't think that McAfee is to blame, as I already set the execute from temp directory to on. Any help would be appreciatged.     - How to eliminate users in CRM? How do you eliminate usernames that are entered in error or are no longer needed? Setting up a new CRM installation - the domain had .lcl as part of the domain name. Entered the users without .lcl and it somehow authenticated when entering the user into CRM, yet it would not function properly for the user. Had to inactivate the original user, add the new user, and then everything seems to work ok. Also, in such a case, have problems with duplicate username. In the UK you get 5 Suite Pro licenses and the suite module when you buy the action pack as part of being a registed MS partner. I am going to buy 4 more Sales Professional from my MS reseller. Do any of you know if this would cause a problem as the reseller is saying I can only buy licences which are of the same type as the action pack. I think this has to be a load of rubbish as you can mix suite pro and sales pro fine!!!     - SFO sync looping Hi I've noticed that when I take SFO offline, the progress dialog box will refer to the table being processed. The message goes like: "Processing Article xxxxxx". Then there will be a message about the number of records updated, inserted etc. What puzzles me is that the same table is processed several times, so you may get a sequence of tables processed and then it will start over doing some of the tables once more.     - Data Loss in the Opportunity (CRM 1.2) Hi, I would like to check on the opportunity reports on the closed opportunity by opportunity Won-Lost Report. However, I found all the records are WON status. It's quite strange that we are sure there should be no such possibility. Then we go to the opportunity module to list the closed opportunity, the data in the previous are lost. We never delete the record on the closed opportunities. We check on the database, the data is lost also. In this few days, CRM security services & Crystal Report Services hang. We need to Cold boot the Server to reactivate the services.     - Customised forms and Outlook As far as I understand whenever you customise a form that is to be used with Outlook, the customisation should automatically be pushed out to SFO (Sales For Outlook). However, this does not appear to happen immediately, because I tried a test yesterday and it has taken until today to publish the specific customisation within Outlook, it is fine within CRM it is published immediately. I have tried this again today with a different customisation and the same is happening. So I guess my question is two fold: 1, Is there a time delay between publishing within CRM & the customisation getting published to the Outlook Client? 2, If so, is there any way to get rid of this delay? Because CRM access TEMP folder and McAfee block something in TEMP folder, I have an error message, I fond the solution in KB of Microsoft but it's not what we need.     - Credentials Timeout I have been reading through some of the posts about login problems I have taken some advice and added my crm server to the intranet zone in IE and also set the option to automatically login to intranet zone. The problem I have is if I set this up the machine seems to 'drop out' of crm after about 15 minutes. This causes a page cannot be displayed on the crm and also the avaya integration comes up with 'invalid parameter' if a call comes in. The way to fix this is to press ctrl-alt-del and lock the computer and then unlock and put the domain password in again. This has pointed me to the fact that the domain credentials seem to be 'timing out'.     - Creating user after big mess up I had an issue with license and followed a recommended procedure of removing and reinstalling the license. Now I have locked everyone out of CRM! I can't add users through Deployment manager it gives me the error: "The user has not been granted any licenses or the user has not been assigned any roles (80042f09)" I can not open CRM because there are no users installed.     - Using CRM Application Pool for Custom ASP.NET application Hi All I am having 2 server based CRM configuration set that is CRM database is on other server, My intallation on multi server went well and CRM is working fine. I have asp.net application which also uses the same database server as CRM and it is deployed on CRM web server. I have added this ASP.NET application to the Application Pool that CRM is using so that I don't have problem in Connecting to Database server however though CRM is able to connect to the database my ASP.NET application is not getting trusted connection on sql server.     - ISV.Config not recognising changes Hi I am trying to add ToolBar buttons to the Account form for using the MapPoint web service. I have added the required code to the ISV.Config file, but am not seeing any sign of the buttons on the form. I have re-started IIS (using iisreset) on the server following the change I have renamed all other instances of isv.config on the server I have even added some mal-formed XML to the file to see if I can break it, and CRM just keeps coming up unchanged as usual. Hello,

On one of the clients i installed SFO onto (win2000+SP4, Office2000+SP3) i
get following message (its in dutch but i'll translate it and hope it matches
the english one): "Custom forms not installed"( or "Customized"). Its has
"CRM message" as title so its definatly CRM related. The strange thing is
that any changes to forms are shown in SFO.

Any ideas anyone?
