hi members,

This is anil and new to crm installation part i
installed crm server,Active directory and Exchange server in different
machines but all these are in the same domain,now when iam trying to
install ms crm laptop client i am getting a warning when installation
is checking all the requiremets "the warning message is "setup cannot
connect to ms crm server.This might indicate that the server is down"
i pinged all the servers all are pinging, but iam unable to resolve
this issue can any one help me getting out of it

Normally you can just click on next when those warning messages show
up and continue the install. It may take a few minutes for it to
complete the prerequisite checks, but if there are no errors (only
warnings) it will let you continue the install.

Have you tried just completing the install and seeing if CRM will
connect after it completes?

Hi Steve,

I am having the same problem.
I am able to access CRM from that same machine using the browser but cannot
install the outlook client.
It says that the specified domain either does not exist or could not be
contacted.
I have tried putting in the IP instead of the server name but no success.

Please help me out.

There is an article in the newsgroup call "CRM 4 Outlook client can not config"

This link worked for me in getting the install going although I have other
issues now.
