    - when trying to access CRM i get "0x80040E4D"-Error hello board, i had a working installation of ms-crm 1.2 on a windows 2000 server (sp4), with ms-sql 2000 (sp3). all was fine. now i have updated this server to windows 2003. after the update i could not access the ms-crm-webiste anymore. i get http://server/_common/error/errorhandler.aspx?errNum=0x80040E4D displayed. when i search at google (groups) i found this anwer from this board: >This error tends to indicate that the SQL authentication is failing.     - Incoming mail to crm activity. Where does it go? I have installed the email router on our Exchange server. Now I am able to sen outgoing mails from CRM that gets a guid to it. But when i reply to the mail I cant find the mail in any activity. No error messages what so ever. When we try to send a mail to a user in CRM and promote it to a crm activity it does not appear anywhere either. Exchange server is the only email server in the org.     - Method not Allowed after security updates Hello, I have had an application that was inserting Leads into my CRM 1.2 from web, using SOAP. After installing the 3 available updates last friday, and one security update from Crystal Decisions, this application cannot even authenticate to the CRM system. The error happens right after the WhoAmI method from the 1.2 SDK: User.WhoAmI() at test.Class1.Main(String[] args) in c:\\projects\\updatecrm\\test\\class1.cs:line 45 The user can log at the CRM web site fine.     - View Problems - Column Heading Text Not Displaying Hi, We've got an installation of MS CRM 1.2 which is mostly working correctly however we have a proplem with the column header text not displaying in views when viewing the lists of accounts/contacts/leads etc..     - Inviting other users to an appointment When we create a new appointment in CRM, and invite other users also in crm, they don't get meeting invitiations. If we open the appointment in Outlook, we see the organizers name "First Last" and then the other users in the form "domainname\user1", and no free busy information is available.     - Organization ID We are trying to create a customer self-serve support website that displays Knowledge Base articles and allows the customer to open their on incidences. Many of the functions provided ask for an Orgainzation ID. After much digging in the SDK, I found that this is the GUID of the organization unit in Active Directory.     - Cant change crystal reports admin password When we try to run the CrystalAdmin.exe tool and change the crystal password we receive the follow error message: 'Unable to change password. Error returned is: Your license key is invalid or has expired. If you received a temporary license key by purchasing another crystal product, you must register Crystal Reports Enterprise to receive your permanent license key.' Most other aspects of CRM are working fine, except this and the fact that we get the infamous 'Crystal Reports Logon Error'. All the Crystal Reports services are running fine including the APS. When attempting to access the reports the event log has this error: Event ID 2: Error: Unable to access crystal. check to see if you have enough licenses: unable to log into crystal: Check to see if you have enough licenses: Unable to communicate with crystallogon.csp. This CRM was installed on a clean Win 2K3 web server. Sql server is running on another server. We have a full version of Crystal available but have not installed it.     - A Crystal Reports job failed because a free license could not be obtained .... Hi, We installed a web app with some Crystal Reports 9 for VS.Net reports on our crm server.(we had to use .Net crystal for this release as we havent planned Crystal Enterprise 10 which supports mixed reports for this release of our app.) I copied crdb_ado.dll, msvcp60.dll and other required things on CRM server. Now, when I try to open any .Net crystal reports, it gives me this warning and reports doesn't run.(My existing crm crystal reports work fine) "A Crystal Reports job failed because a free license could not be obtained in the time allocated. More licenses can be purchased direct from Crystal Decisions or through the Crystal Decisions Online Store." I read that we need to set the licence key in license.msm merge module in web setup for deploying VS.NET app crystal reports. But I am not sure if this will work...since license key may conflict with the existing crystal enterprise of crm. So I wanted to know if there is any workaround to resolve this license issue of .NEt crystal reports without affecting my existing crystal enterprise on crm.     - w3wp.exe Process memory keeps growing with custom integration We are having an issue with a custom integration we have built for MSCRM. We are working on a scheduled DTS package which is required to migrate data from a legacy system into MSCRM. The data migration process runs on a nightly basis and required to update close to 40,000 records in MSCRM. We have built a DTS package(On the SQL SERVER) that gets the data from the legacy Oracle server and computes the records that need to be updated and then calls into a serviced component running in com+(On the SQL Server) passing in the records that need to be updated in the form of xml string. The serviced component is called with 1000 records at a time and the entire 40,000 records are not passed in one single shot because of memory exceptions. The serviced component calls into a web service (on the CRM machine) and passes batches of 20 records at a time. The xml is parsed using an xml reader and we update account information in MSCRM by calling in the MSCRM object model, with the information in the xml. The problem: The process runs through fine when we try this with a low volume of records( 100s and a few thousands). Initially the memory held by the w3wp process increases and after the first 2000 records it becomes grows to about 150MB (Without running the integratino it stays around 80MB with people using MSCRM) and has meager increases for a while then it starts to increase faster. Once the w3wp.exe process is using 200MB of memory the MSCRM site does not respond when hit using IE but the integration continues to run. The memory held by the w3wp process increases until it reaches 800MB and finally stops with a System.OutOfMemoryException. This usually happens around the 14K to 16K records procesed. The hardware configuration that we have on the test environment is CRM 2.4 Gig 1 gb RAM SQL 2.4 Gig 1 gb RAM The DTS package and the serviced component exist in the Sql machine and the serviced component calls into a web service located in the CRM machine to migrate the data into MSCRM. can access http://crmserver on other machines (W2K, XP) running IE 6 with

I have an XP machine with all the latest updates, IE 6 w/ SP1a etc... I'ver
tried W2K machines; some have failed with the same problem as above and
other work fine.

I'm trying to narrow down the cause but can't seem to pinpoint it. Can
somone point me in the right direction.
