    - modify fields Hi - just started using CRM and have several questions. 1. How do I modify the COUNTRY field? I want a user to be able to type in the name of the country and return and display the 2-letter country abbreviation? Do I have to build a new table for that or can I modify the country field as it is now? 2.     - Exception Thrown (0x80044104) One of our sales people is currently getting an error when trying to use SFO. This was working on his machine for months and decided to stop working last week. He can still access the server from the web, but connecting through SFO blows up. The error returned is below. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Only thing I could find about it was: IDS_RCSYNC_SOAP_SEND_FAILED - 0x80044104 - [No error message specified.] on MSDN and that hardly tells me what's wrong.     - switching out the sql server in crm environment Currently I have a crm server, integration server, and a sql/exchange/active directory server in my test environment. CRM is up and running, I've already done the integration process from GP and I've done the migration process from siebel. I finally came across another box that I can use and my sql server. I'm wanting to remove sql from the current box that it is on and move it to another box. Does any know of any problems with this? I know everyhting is pretty much based off of the sql server. So, how do I go about changing where the crm server and integration server are pointing in regards to sql? What are my options in doing this and what are the problems associated in just moving sql rather than starting from scratch and reloading everything? Crystal Reports Logon Error Please verify that you have enough Crystal licenses. What does one have to do after CRM is loaded and you have users setup with Licenses and role.     - System wide SFO error We have one client installation and our demo install thats having an issue but our live office server is not. In SFO if I goto Account..New Account.. However, we use 15 seats of CRM at our office for internal and are unable to reproduce the error. To me its a configuration issue because its only on the SFO not web client. I looked at the quickcreate.aspx file and they are the same. Our demo computers are running Office 2003 Pro, and the clients demo computers are running Office 2000 Pro with Outlook 2003. All the computer have Domain Users as local admins, and we also added Localhost as trusted sites and tried to lower activex controls etc etc Any ideas appreciated...     - External Customer Data Integration We have a customer database stored on a SQL2k server. This database contains standard customer data as well as a lot of industry specific data about each customer's account which must stay in our proprietary format. We want to use MSCRM primarily for customer service but it seems repetitive to maintain a separate database of our customers for the CRM process. I'm trying to find out if it is possible (and if so, how difficult) to import/integrate/synchronize our current customer database with MS CRM so that when we add/delete/change a customer in our current database, the change also happens in CRM.     - MSCRM Distribution not getting created after redeployment I completed my redeployment successfully using the redeployment too. But one issue remains outstanding. The MS CRM distribution database is not getting created by the process mentioned in the guide for the tool. The process is to use the deployment manager and then the server manager and then â??configure serversâ?? for configuring the sql server. Do I need to do something else?     - cannot access reports remotely via web Hi, When trying to access reports in CRM, i received the "Crystal Reports Logon Error. Please verify that you have enough Crystal licenses." However, if i launch the browser in the server CRM is installed i am able to view all reports without any error.     - IE Instable with CRM Hi all! Am I the only one with this problem. When using the CRM UI my IE becomes instable to the point I need to restart windows (XP) at least every second day (I used to be able to have it running for weeks before I started using MS CRM). I suspect this has to do with the "zillions of simultanious form windows"-paradign MS CRM uses. But if this is something that affects everyone it would be a bug a bit hard to bear, so I guess it is something that can be corrected on my machine. Does anyone have any ideas how to correct this?     - CRM Integration for GP I have been trying to install the CRM integration for GP 7.5 but have been stuck with Error 1722 and BizTalk 2000 would not install. I have searched all MBS or MSDN and MS knowledge base, but they were all dead ends to my issue. I have tried removing the Namespace as one KB explained, but my problem is that there's no previous installed BizTalk to remove. And there is the issue with regards to terminal server must be in Remote Admin mode. I am positively sure that it is installed as Remote Admin twice. The environment is that on a Windows 2000 server DC with CRM 1.2 and GP 7.5 installed in SQL 2000 SP3a. The integration piece is installed on another Windows 2000 server member server pointing to the SQL on the DC. Greatly appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this.     - Problems with CRM Email Router I have tried everything I can find on problems with the CRM 1.2 email router, but no matter what I cannot get it to take incoming emails and create activities from them. Things I have tried so far. 1. Read and re-read the IG and followed all the steps for enabling single users AND creating a new queue for a single address. Neither of which work. 2. Re-Installed the email router several times, never any error messages, seems to install with no problems. 3. Outbound emails work just fine. 4. Added all CRM related servers to the pre-2000 combatibility group on the AD server. 5. Tried "all emails" option in CRM still nothing at all. 6. Did an advanced find for all emails, none show up. Our CRM enviornment consists of: 1. CRM machine - windows 2003 & CRM 1.2 & SQL 2000 (current sp, 3a I think?) 2. Exchange machine - windows 2003 & Exchange 2003 SP1 The only things I can consider "strange" in our enviornment is that: 1. Each user has several email addresses on several different domains (internet domain names). But this shouldn't stump the router, should it? Even then I am testing by sending to the primary (outbound) email address from hotmail. The guid stays intact and the message is delivered to my inbox, guid plain as day. 2. We are using an "upstream" email virus scanner, which takes email in on port 25 and sends it to port 26 which is where the exchange server SMTP picks it up from (non-standard port) 3. We are using the new Exchange smart-screen SPAM filter, but none of the CRM emails are being marked as spam and they do make it to the client. 4. We are also using McAfee groupshiled for exchange 2003, to scan office to office email. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to troubleshoot this further? TIA!!!     - MSI error installing microsoft CRM Hi all, I was trying to install microsoft CRM server on 2003 mechine . MSMQ,Indexing service, IIS, SQL2000 with SP3 are all installed. all the above services are running. But when i install crm it stops reporting error installing msi also shows error 80004005 . i checked the event log and there it says APS server cannot be started or contacted. odbc error. i belive Cristal report services are getting installed but cannot be accessed. Did any one come across such a problum. Is it authentacation problem. i dont have a password on my windows admin account but i have a passoword for sa account in sql server . please help .... .     - IE Script Error when adding New Contact from new Account This problem is on 2 installs and seems to be system wide. Running CRM 1.2, OL2003. When Online or Offline if I goto New Account, create the account, then goto Primary Contact, Click on New Contact I get this error: Line: 33 Char: 4 Error: frmResult._id.length is null or not an object. Code: 0 URL: http://localhost:2525/_forms/QuickCreateReturn/quickcreate.aspx?crmFormObjectType=2 After I get this error basically all the IE scripts fail and I have to close Outlook and reopen to move on.     - CRM mods data Hello, I have a client interested in CRM to replace Goldmine. I have some questions. CRM needs to be customized to allow client specific data to be stored in the contact record. Example of data fields: State of residence, state tax rate, state of employment, ect. The ability to link other contact records to the clients contact record would be very helpful. For example, have a field for the client's accountant or attorney. Since an accountant may work with several of our clients having a link from that client record to the accountants contact record would be helpful. Additional data is required assigned to a contact record. Each contact may have one or more portfolios assigned. The portfolios will have multiple accounts assigned to them. Each of these three levels will have data fields. The data fields may be single fields or multiple fields. This database must be able to be queried either directly by other applications or reports run and the data exported to CSV or XML. We want the contact record customized so that the customized contact information is viewed on a separate tab similar to the "Details" or "Administration" tabs. The portfolio fields should also be shown as a separate tab with each account as a separate section. If possible, contacts with multiple portfolios should be shown of separate tabs with an identifier on the tab. Other interface solutions may be used as long as the data hierarchy is easily discernable - contact, portfolio, account. Workflow tracking: We want the ability to assign work (cases) into team queues without having to assign a specific user the case. At a future time, the work in the team queues would be assigned to a specific user by a manager. We want the ability to view outstanding cases by team and user to monitor work levels across teams and users.     - Asking to save for new entries thorugh SDK I'm uploading some invoices through a program in c#, but when the user opens the invoice, it asks to save it. Once you do it, it doesn't ask again. I was looking at the record in the InvoiceBase table and looks like the record was not changed. The fields that I use in the invoice are: + name + description + customerid + ownerid and other custom fields. Any idea if any other field must be initialized. It happens the same with the invoice detail, for it I upload: +description + productdescription + actualdeliveryon + quantity + priceperunit (equals 0) + ispriceoverridden (equals 1) + isproductoverridden (equals 1) Any ideas what's going on? Hi,

I installed MS CRM1.2 on a Windows 2003 server. The sample database
(Adventure Cycles Work) and license key provided used; CRM server
added to the Pre-Windows 2000 compatible access group; installed and
accessed as domain administrator.

When I access the web application at the server with localhost or
server name, it works just fine. However, when I try to access it
through client machines in the same domain, IE will simplely
crash/disappear after I input my user name and password.

Someone please help me...
