Hi there,

we have found some XML files on desktops running online/offline outlook
client, we want to know what they are being used for and whether we can
change the path for storing these files.

The size of these files varies depending on the size of data base and the
issue is that some of our client have strict profile limit for the user.
Having these files by default in the user profile is not idea for us and if
possible want to change the location of these files.

The location of these files are as shown below.

Does anyone know what they are being used for and how to change the location
for these files.

e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\MSCRM\ABP\Online

accounts.xml
contacts.xml
equipment.xml
leads.xml
queues.xml
users.xml

e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\MSCRM\ABP\Offline

accounts.xml
contacts.xml
equipment.xml
leads.xml
queues.xml
users.xml

cheers
Kyaw

These files are used for synchronizing the crm data with Address Book
provider data. For e.g. When you create a account in CRM, you can see this in
the address book under 'CRMAccounts' group. There is background process which
uses these files for keeping the data in sync. As far as I know, you cannot
change the location of these files and if you delete them, they are created
when you restart outlook. Hope this helps.

If you delete those files, I believed it will download again next time
when you open up your outlook client. It will actually slow down your
outlook, not recommend you delete those xml files.

Hope this helps!
