One of my clients has said that "the KB articles would be much more
useful if you could attach documents to the articles".. I was actually
quite surprised that you couldn't (as you can attach notes, and
therefore files, to just about everything in the system).
Has anybody looked into ways to do this? The only thing I've found is
to use a hyperlink in the KB as a pointer to a doc. It sounds like
this might work, especially if you integrated it with a Sharepoint
library. I believe that is relatively easy to do, but I have zero
experience with Sharepoint.
Obviously, the goal would be to be able to search all KB attachments as
well as the articles too. For that, I believe I read somewhere that
you could add CRM to the things that Microsoft's (very cool) desktop
search utility. (But then, I don't know how/if you could search
Sharepoint as well.)
If anybody has done this, or something similar, would you mind posting
