The newsgroup is a community supported forum. Microsoft does not regularly
monitor the group, nor is it an "official" support mechanism. With v3.0
being relatively new, we are all hitting similar issue and may not have
found resolution to them yet.

Matt,
basically I agree with 'Kytflyr': it's not much help to search the
newsgroup. All you can find are problems and only a few solutions.

But it's not only Microsoft it's also the community who should help to
improve this forum!

The community members should learn to post solutions. Most of them post
only their problems and they're then too lazy to post a solution. That
doesn't help much.

On the other hand, from Microsoft's point of view, this newsgroup is a
perfect way to monitor what's (still) wrong with their product. Could
you have a better feedback?
Also, I'd appreciate if Microsoft could request some more details on
some error messages, request log-files etc., to be able to see what has
to be fixed in forthcoming releases. I am sure Microsoft could help a
lot. And this would help to improve the product!

Example:
The "Authentication Error"-post (we're two guys with the same problem):
I have some log-files (with sourcecode-line-numers) but I am not able to
determine what's wrong. Microsoft could - for sure. And requesting
these files would help all of us (even if unofficially).

Matt,
Not to debate the issue, but
-one of the icons is "reply by Microsoft";
-there are many many single posts (e.g., no answer);
-you took this issue "personally" instead of replying to my query
immediately before;
-Markus is right, there is no "community" here and
-presenting excuses doesn't make one.
