    - Jscript Error and Numeric Fields erasing upon lost focus Aarrghhhhhh! I am at my wits end with this one. I am getting the following error message when trying to customize a form by adding elements that has manifested itself recently (the only one in my company to have this issue). The worst part of it all (besides being able to manage CRM customization), is that in a regular form (i.e., opportunities) when a numeric amount is entered, the value is erased when the element loses focus (when I click save/close for example). Here is the error message, and what I (and my OPs guys) have tried. "An Error has occurred in the script on this page. Line: 18; Character: 1; Error: Automation Server cannot create object; Code: 0; url: http://crm01/Tools/FormEditor/Dialogs/addfields.aspx" It obviously does not display the next form properly. I have tried the following: 1. Installed Windows Scripting 5.6 patch: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323885 2. Performed the following: Method 1: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x Repair for Windows XP From the Start menu, select Run. In the Open field, type sfc /scannow (Note: There is a space between sfc and /scannow) Select the OK button. Follow the prompts throughout the System File Checker process. Reboot the computer when System File Checker completes. Comment: At then end of this process, no files were updated. Method 2: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x Repair for Windows XP From the Start menu, select Search, select All Files and Folders. Select More Advanced Options and place a checkmark beside Search Hidden Files and Folders option. Ensure that Search System Folders and Search Subfolders are also checked. In the All or Part of the File Name box, type ie.inf In the Look In drop-down menu, select C: or the letter of the hard drive that contains the Windows folder. Click the Search button. In the search results pane, find the ie.inf file located in Windows\Inf folder. Right click the ie.inf file and click Install on the context menu. Reboot the computer when the file copy process is complete. Comment: This reverted IE, which caused it to download massive updates from Microsoft to revert it back. 3. Adjusted Tools>Options>Security Settings for Active Scripting. Saved and Closed IE. Rebooted. 4.     - Spouse tracking, linking in CRM We have a situation where both individuals of a married couple are in our Contacts table. We want to first be able to link the two people together on the form, and not in the relationships area. Any suggestions on doing a lookup from a Contact for another contact to display the contact name? Once the link is made, we would want to open the other person's form (similar to opening an account from the contact form). A similar situtation might be tracking the pain chain in an organization - this person reports to their manager. Link the two together.     - CRM 1.2 to 3 I have a CRM1.2 database which has been put onto an SQL2005 server in SQL 2000 compatability mode. The site it was at was migrating from SQL 2000 and the CRM1.2 system was no longer in user, so they moved the database (backup from old server and resotre to new) over to the new server before getting rid of the old one. Is there any way this database can be upgraded to use CRM v3 (and then onto v4) I know 1.2 isnt supported on SQL 2005, so I cant install 1.2 for this upgrade process.     - Setting up the CRM email router for inbound/email email capture? Hi all. Setup the email router on the exchange server however it doesnt seem to work as expected. What I am trying to acheive is that all users who send email via outlook the email gateway will now that this is a contact on CRM and tag the email. When looking CRM the email will then show as an activity, when the user replies the reply needs to be tagged against the contact. In the configuration do you need to setup inbound/outbound profiles for each user or is this global for each user account?     - Proxy Error 407 We recently installed a business card scanner to import data into MS CRM 3.0 The following error message is received "The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Authentication Required".     - Tracking Outlook Appointment in CRM - error and resolution User selected the Appointment, Track in CRM, selected the Contact to relate and Save and Close, then would get the following error: An error occurred promoting this item to Microsoft RM. The Microsoft CRM server could not be contacted or the user has insufficient permissions to perform this action. This item has been saved to Microsoft Outlook but is not being tracked in Microsoft CRM. After many times back and forth with support, the problem turned out to be that the Role the User was assigned to had been a NEW Role that we created and somehow it became corrupt. We determined that since the System Administrator Role worked. The fix was to create a new role as a COPY of the System Admin Role, then edited all of the permissions. I'm glad to say that it's now fixed, but we have to recreate the other Roles we copied from the original "NEW" one. I hope this helps anyone with a similar issue.     - CRM 4 "Send Direct E-mail" to multiple contacts Hi everybody, Everytime I choose a contact and I press the "Send Direct E-mail" button it sends the email correctly. On the contrary everytime I choose more that one contacts the emails are never sent with no error. I noticed that everytime I try to send bulk email this way, a System Job appears at "Settings-System Jobs" of type "Bulk E-mail" and status "waiting" and it stays there for ever.     - CRM 4.0 Outlook client keeps crashing outlook 2003 I was able to install and configure the CRM 4.0 Client for Outlook (Off Premise) on a notebook that has Windows XP Pro SP2 and Office 2003 with SP3. When I open Outlook the CRM toolbar initializes and works fine. When I click to go offline it gives me an error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 11\Outlook.exe Abnormal program termination or This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more information. There are no contacts with DOB and I have recreated the outlook profile and still get the same error. When I look at the product listing under a client, when a product is opened, it opens up the system/global properties for that product.     - Outlook plugin 401 unauthorized error Hello. I can use some help with the Outlook client for CRM 4.0. I setup the CRM server last week. I installed the client on Outlook 2007 and it was working fine for a few days. I came back to it today and my Outlook fails to load the plugin. I had this happen before once and I re ran the configuration tool and when I enter the url of the CRM server http://sqlsrv:5555 and click next, I rec'v an error popup... "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized." I havn't done anything to IIS permissions on sqlsrv, in fact nothing changed except a few reboots os my DC which is on a different server.     - Bulk Import doesn't work Dear Friends I'm trying to import accounts and contacts into CRM using a .CSV file. With other customer, this process works fine, but, with this one, a CRM 3.0 with an independent Exchange, shows on the activities window, a record with all info about the import file, creation date, etc, and the status reason column, with the pending status.     - Error previewing reports in CRM 4.0 We recently installed and removed Systems Esstentials 2007 from the same server with our CRM 4.0 installation. After removing the Systems Essentials, it left behind all the reports on our /reports server. This is the same /reports server with our CRM 4.0 reports.
